Hello All-

I haven't stayed here in a while so I have a couple of questions. First question is what Shuttle service does this hotel use is it ART? I am trying to find out if it is ACV accessible. I have never taken ART so, not sure if it is ACV accessible. Also, if anyone knows of the fee for the shuttle at this hotel that would be nice as well.

Second I assume there is a resort fee for this hotel. I am looking into booking it from Hotels.com so if anyone knows if this will be an additional fee per day and how much it would be that would be great to know.

I am budgeting and trying to figure out if this hotel is comparable to a couple other hotels I am looking at. Wyndham Anaheim Garden Grove and last selection would be Doubletree Anaheim Orange.

I was also looking into Fairfield Anaheim resort but it looks like no shuttle service and I am not sure if they offer breakfast like the other 3 hotels do or what their resort fee would be.

I will be flying to Anaheim and no rental car so, I need shuttle service. Breakfast isn't mandatory but a nice perk. We are breakfast eaters so, we will eat breakfast before entering the parks.

I have stayed at Double tree, Wyndham and Embassy Suites before and my top pick would be Embassy Suites if it works out as a good deal financially so, far the rate is good. This is for my December trip.

Any and all input is much appreciated! :flower1:

I'd stay at Fairfield. It's across the street from the park. You don't get a shuttle there. It's an 8 minute walk. No breakfast. They have a small cafe and there is McDonald's next door.

Thanks for your opinion. I am more interested in Embassy Suites if I can get it. As this was my favorite hotel that I have stayed at in the area. I really want to know what the rates are for shuttle/resport fee so, I can make a well informed decision.

I'm guessing you mean ECV as in disability? I seem to remember the ART buses having a spot in back with a ramp, and also remember some drivers seeming unfamiliar with its use and taking a while to get somebody into it. I believe you can get a ART day pass for $5.50 at the hotel desk. The hotel is ok, kind of old, that animatronic mountain lion overlooking the food area cracks me up.

Never had a resort fee for an Embassy Suites. A quick look at their website shows a parking fee, which is very common. It also says, "Shuttle service is available every 30 minutes for a nominal fee with a pick-up location in front of the hotel." Doesn't say the fee, but I am sure you can call to find out.

Thanks for this! I didn't see the pick up in front of the hotel. This is good information! :thanks: I guess I will call them about the shuttle cost.

With that description, I would assume they are using ART. I don't remember seeing the Embassy Suites in the list of area hotels with a dedicated shuttle (there aren't many). If it is ART, here's a link to their fares and passes page with pricing: http://rideart.org/fares-and-passes/

Keep in mind sometimes the "resort fee" is disguised as a tax or 2. "Occupancy tax" and "tourism improvement district fee".

We stayed there in March. I liked it so much we are staying again in October. I used their own shuttle, I believe it was $6.00 a day and came twice an hour. 15 min after and 45 min after.

No resort fees for Embassy, just the standard Anaheim taxes. The ART shuttle is $5.50 a day for adults. If you are over 62, you pay the Reduced Fare of $2. They have discounted rates for multiday tickets.

Ok I called and confirmed with the hotel there is no resort fee or fee for WiFi. WiFi is free to hotel guests. They do have a hotel designated shuttle which is not an ART shuttle which is ACV accessible. The shuttle is $6 per day for adults. I'm not sure if there is a senior rate as I'm not a senior just a gal with a bad knee (ostioarthritis) waiting to be 50 to get knee surgery. I still have 4 more years unfortunately but that won't keep me from my Disney trips.:flower:

I feel exactly as you do about Embassy Suites. We stayed here during Xmas time on a large family trip and we all loved this hotel! Unfortunately the rates are usually too high for me. I look for a good rate so, I can afford more trips to Disney:o but I found a great deal on Hotels.com for $99 a night which I can't pass up. So I'm booking it today. So excited!:dumbo:

Its especially nice if you can make use of the breakfast and "happy hour". I have to say this hotel's happy hour is a little skimpy compared to some embassy suites, but it was fine. Was there last October and they had really small beer cups and I pretty much just ate aome quesadillas and chips and salsa, but it was a nice way to relax for a bit.

We will definitely eat breakfast everyday. So looking forward to their breakfast. What types of things do they offer during the evening reception? I've never been to this at this hotel before.
