Embassy south or Homewood convention center

Which property would you choose with kids 13 and 9?. We liked the ES last time we stayed but thought the HW might be better for walking if we want, if not the free shuttle from TS parking lot. More restaurants close by and wanted to go to an angels game. Although I figure Uber would be cheap from ES anyway. We’d use Art from ES if we stayed there. Any thoughts. Both are 1 bedroom suites with free hot breakfasts. Thanks.

Homewood suites by far the better choice imho. We’ve stayed at Embassy once and never again, our room was so old and disgusting, housekeeping was terrible (left a giant bag of trash in our room plus other issues). This was several years ago, 2016-ish so maybe things have changed for the better. We really like Homewood, usually walk to Toy Story lot to get to the parks which we find to be a convenient option. We’ve also made the walk to/from DL which isn’t terrible, one thing that I wouldn’t consider to be an option staying at Embassy.

Thank you! I was really wanting the HW as well. My only concern is that if we do that one, we have to go Aug. 19 - 23 and our day with a rental car will be a Monday into Hollywood and Santa Monica. Need to be back by 4:30pm for the ball game. Is traffic crazy on a Monday into town even if we leave super early or later? Is there any better time? I'm hoping it would be OK to do that on a Monday for my schedule? Any thoughts?
