embarrassing question

I am overweight. I'm 5'3 260 pounds. I wear a size 22 pants. I am planning on going to six flags in Gurnee, IL next week and would be extremely embarrassed if I couldn't fit on a ride. Are there any rides I should avoid. Thanks

I tried that and the person who answered the phone said she didn't know she doesn't ride the rides. I asked her to ask someone else who does ride the rides there and they didn't know and I'd find out when I try to sit on the ride. They weren't any help

Safety is our number one priority. Guests with certain body proportions, height and/or weight may not be able to participate on certain rides if the safety restraints will not operate as designed. Specific ride information is available at the ride and at Guest Relations.

Used to drive to Six Flags in Gurnee a lot when we lived in Crystal Lake.

Check the ticket/info booth area when you arrive and I'm sure you'll find out exactly what you need to know.

All the big coasters have tester seats outside. I would avoid Superman and Dark Knight, even if you do fit...

The giant ship that swings back and forth is rough if you have a gut....

Swings, hips kinda poke out the sides and the chair will stick, you have to remove it as you stand up

Condor is tough to get in and out of...

Ragin Bull VERY full figure friendly and the most awesomeist coaster at the park!

That's all that stick out, I think everything else isnt too bad...

Try the testers, have the cast member help you click the bar down if needed and have fun!

I am not sure if they do this at six flags, but at cedar point before every ride they have a seat from the cart and you can sit in it to see if you fit.

I bet that is embarrassing too...trying to squeeze into a seat while everyone is walking by you to get in line. I would try to find the number for the disablility department and I would bet they would have a better idea than the general information line.

I did not find the Ragin Bull full figure friendly and was about the same size (24) when I went there. It was embarassing having the attendant pushing on the bar to get the red mark to show. Then I was worried while riding that the bar was not down all the way.

AFter that I tried the test seat for each one. Batman was my favorite and fit great.

First off I am over weight due to the a thyroid problem. It took years for the dr to figure it out since my thyroid tested fine a few years ago. I'm in the process of losing weight but can't do it in a week. I'd rather be fat then have an attitude like you!

I don't think low-key meant it in a mean way. I think he has posted in the past about having a fluctuating weight and is generally not mean spirited, but I can see why you might think it could have been unkind.... it was more likely meant with empathy.

I think she was responding to a different poster who posted an insensitive comment. His/her rude comment was removed, but the OP's reply to the rude comment remained.

I am an overweight person myself and this has encouraged me to get back to Great America! I'd love to get on the rides and enjoy some good roller coasters.

I did the walk of shame at Six Flags I was a size 24/26 I believe. I love roller coasters and grew up going to SF every summer. Being able to ride the coasters again is one of my motivators to keep losing weight.
