Embarrasing croc's question

OK, I'm pretty close to succumbing to the Crocs popularity wave, always have trouble with aching feet at Disneyland.

I've seen the Crocs in a few places, (sold in the San Diego Zoo gift shop, if you can believe that) but my question is... I have a problem with sweaty feet. There, you have my deepest, darkest secret. It's a trait I even passed on to my kids. :sad2:

I think socks would look funny with Crocs, so can anyone tell me if the Crocs with bare feet would work for me? I wear flip-flops all year-round, and those are actually OK because my feet can breathe. Would I "slip around" in Crocs? Gross, I know, sorry.

I think you'd be ok---there's little knobby things (technical term, ya know :teeth: ) that help with air flow under your feet. And plus there are air vents on the sides that help.

I agree.....the air flow helps with sweaty feet a lot. But if you want to wear socks, go ahead. A lot of people do, especially in cooler weather. If you go to www.crocs.com, they even sell "croc socks".

My feet only get sweaty in the closed in style that I have...I wear socks with those and my toes get damp. In the Beach style, I don't have any trouble with sweaty feet...and I sweat in a pair of leather dress shoes with panty hose. The air that passes through the holes helps to keep the feet dry....and the best part even if they do get a bit sweaty...NO stinky feet!

I've been wearing my crocs for the past few weeks (it's MN and it's been COLD here!) My feet tend to sweat, too. I've been wearing them with socks and they've been fine. One day I wore them without socks and my feet got kind of cold and clammy. I was hoping to wear them to DW in June, but I don't think I'm going to be able to - too hot I think. But maybe it will work for you. But either way, I'm totally happy that I bought them! They are wonderful!

Actually, this is the only problem I have with the crocs. I have the beach style, and even though there are holes for ventilation, I still find my feet get sweaty and clammy. I have yet to wear them with a pair of socks. The good thing about the beach style is they are very easy to slip on and off. So, I can "air" my feet out with no problems.

I wore my "Beach" Crocs today for the first time without socks. My feet did get a little sweaty, but not enough to slip and slide around the shoe. The past few times I have worn them I have had socks on, and I liked that MUCH better. So far I have been wearing jeans every time. I have to wonder how truly stupid socks will look with Crocs and shorts. Maybe if I just wear the low cut little footie socks...

Whjy dont you buy the flip flop style crocs ( cant think of the name of them) ? I just bought a pair the other day and so far they are comfy. :thumbsup2

If I am wearing jeans I will wear socks with my crocs.

Have you tried spraying your feet with anti-perspirant?
I got some bodyglide for my feet haven't tried it yet.....I plan on putting socks in my backpack just in case (coolmax ones). :teeth:

I have worn my crocs with and without socks. I like with socks a little better because the crocs feel a little loose with out. However when I didn't wear socks my feet did sweat a bit but I didn't slide around, and like I said my crocs are a little loose, and all I had to do was take them off for a minute and the shoes and my feet dried right off. Plus like someone else said you r feet won't smell even if they are sweaty.

I'm embarassed to say that until I looked at this thread I didn't know what Crocs were!! :rotfl: ;)
I've see other thread titles referring to Crocs but had never looked to investigate. LOL!!!
But I'm glad I did. They sound and look comfy.

I wonder where they are sold? Where did everyone eldse get theirs??

Nordstroms.com have the 'newer' Cayman version, Dicks Sporting goods have the Beach style.
I also ordered from Nofeargear.com for the g-kids. (lots of colors)

Ok now you are talking Crocs...wearing socks with them with shorts does sond corny like but hey who cares...you are at disney...I do have a question about the jean thing though...in the first week of June...do you think it is too hot there to wear jeans...my daughter is so insistent on wanting to wear them...she is 15 and very strong headed. What is the norm for most people to wear? Does anyone ever wear the t-shirt type shorts...kinda like the cheerleading ones? I didn't know if they were too 'down dressed' for Disney. I have all my planning for the trip down except for the clothes to bring. I will be getting new crocs today...Yeah! Does anyone wear them all day at Disney? What do you do on the rides...I know they sell turbo straps...??

Thanks to all ahead of time! :cheer2:

I feel confident saying I have the sweatiest feet in the world! I too am embarrassed about it, but what can you do? Anyway, I cannot wear my Crocs without socks except for maybe a quick walk down to the pool...anything longer than that I feel like I'm slip-slidin' away. I wear the no-show (low-cut) socks with them and don't really care what anyone thinks because they are so comfortable. I have worn them just about everywhere and always have people commenting on what fun they are because of all the great colors they come in. Get a pair, you won't be sorry. :goodvibes

I'm just about ready to buy my first pair of CROCS. Does anyone know if the new NILE sandal style are as comfortable as everyone says the original CROCS styles are? I think the sandal would look better with shorts but my main concern is the comfort. I haven't been able to find a tennis shoe that I can walk in comfort in for very long.
