I would LOVE to try out some Crocs for my next WDW (it's not until next year, but HEY....)

My question is do you wear socks with them? I'm only asking because I cannot wear shoes/sneakers/sandels or anything without socks because by the end of the day when I take them off, BACK UP SALLY. Those puppies are ripe. Sorry...TMI

I'm sure they look ridiculous with socks on, but I'm wondering if there's anything out there that I CAN wear with them.

I've worn mine with socks (with long pants) and without socks (shorts). They actually have some kind of material/coating that is supposed to prevent bacteria/odor from forming. Try them at home first and see what happens, you might be surprised.

I do not like my feet feeling slippery or wet inside shoes.
When I wear capri's with crocs, I wear the short-length socks with my crocs.
Crocks and socks are more comfy for my feet.
DD and I recently walked a 6.2 mile charity event and wore our crocs with socks. Our feet felt great afterwards.

Happy croc and sock wearing!!!

DD and I don't wear socks, but many people do. You might be surprised that you don't have a problem when wearing crocs with no socks.... DD has NASTY feet when she wears sneakers without socks, but no problem when wearing crocs! I love it when she wears her Crocs... I don't need to track all the socks down around the house!!!

They are well ventilated and the material they are made out of (PCCR) is bacteria and odor resistent.

They do sell Croc socks!

Just had to respond...I saw the thread and thought you were going ask about Crocodiles with all the news stories lately...I am obviously out of touch on the lastest fashions...my bad!

I like them with and without socks. I think they look fine. Do what works for you.

I love my crocs with and without socks, and so does my DH. However, for Disney days, I wore socks every day and my feet felt great. DH went without socks one day, and went back to them the next. He had one "hot spot" where the shoe was rubbing, but no blister. And after 12+ hours on your feet, you can expect that with any shoe.

We were there in Feb, so I wore long pants and big "rag" socks with mine every day, but for shorts or capris, the little short sport socks would be ok. Once you know how good they feel, you'll get over the look. I'm a shoe junkie who loves high heels, but I LOVE my crocs. They feel awsome!

I like to wear mine with socks. I bought a bunch of socks that cut below the ankle to wear with mine when in we go in 19 days!! They are so comfie.

I wear my crocs to work and if I don't wear socks my feet sweat reallly bad so I started wearing little short socks, looks ok to me. I will probably wear socks on my trip next week too.

People seem to have relatively little blistering and such wearing Crocs. I am wondering, has anyone has tried using Bodyglide on their feet when they wear their Crocs at Disney? I would think this would eliminate any chance of blistering or "hot spots" even.

Um, are these the brightly colored rubber shoes?? Do they make any that look more 'normal'? The ones I think I've seen look like little kid clogs.

I've worn my Crocs with and without socks, it just depends on the temp and what I'm wearing.

How true this is. I finally gave in and got some crocs. For a long time I couldn't get past the look of them. Now I wear them at least once a week to work and most of the weekend.

I've worn them at home with socks, but not out in public. However, was just thinking that I would pick up some short ankle socks for my trip next week.

mjkaferle5 ---- let me just say I love your sig, I'm a proud Third Day Gomer here

Those are the ones! If you check out crocs.com, there are quite a few styles to choose from. I have six pair of the Beach style, and plan on getting the Professional style for the fall/winter. I wore my crocs for a week at the World (no socks, btw), with absolutely NO problem.

ps - I'm a CROC CONVERT - and I'm proud of it ! (where's that tag fairy when you need him/her?!)

You all are right, the material that Crocs are made from is designed to minimize bacteria and the odors that result from them. In fact, the beach Crocs (the most popular style with the holes) IMO would allow your feet to be ventilated while you are walking. They also have Crocs with no holes that are just like a mule style show with a strap on back. (My Dad wears this style). I think they are fine with socks! I would suggest the short ankle socks, but any kind that you are comfortable in will work for you.

I've been trying to work up the courage to try on a pair of Crocs. ;) They really are strange looking :p . I see very few people wearing them, but you've all got me curious. I think when I'm out today, Ill check them out. Does anyone know how different the ones that they sell at Walmart are?

The ones at WalMart are very stiff...and not made out of the 'cushiony' material that th real Crocs are made from. However, they are perfect for wearing around the house and such...just not all day at Disney. Try the ones from PayLess, in my opinion, they are very comfy..and they are almost 1/3 the cost of the Crocs. They do look strange, but they grow on you.

I wore mine with short socks on my last trip. I was very self-conscious at first, but as soon as I realized I was going to be able to walk around all day without aching feet, I stopped caring what other people thought of my fashion sense.
