I have a fascination with email spam / scams. I don't usually read ( open )them, but I hover over them so I can read a little bit of what is inside. The one I got today made me laugh.

Mail Title: Miracle Breakthrough!

What I could read while hovering:
Our new pill CURES EVERY DISEASE!!!!!

Seriously, is there anybody dumb enough to respond to that? I mean anybody with a normally functioning brain.

I was reading an article in a business magazine that said that 86% of all emails are spam, and while I don't remember the exact total number, the article said that spam costs the equivalent of $12 to every person in the world.

$12!!!!!!

I love reading the spam titles! I have won the UK lottery several times without ever entering. I also have some long lost relative in Nigeria that died and left me millions. So, according to my spam box, I have the potential to be a multi-millionaire by morning. :rotfl:

Unfortunately there are enough people who do fall for these scams to keep the spammers in business. Even if only 1 person out of 1000 falls for it, it still seems to be enough profit to make the scammers continue to send out their junk mails.
