Email pins dried up after trip

Before our trip in Jan. we were getting email codes and such like crazy and then they just stopped after our Jan. trip. Has this happened to anyone else? How would I check my info on the official Disney site to make sure I can get emails? Thanks.

Yes, this does indeed happen. If Disney knows you are going annually, bi-annually, etc, there is no need on their part to try to lure you.

We go at least once a year. Other than 2002 (our first visit), we have had a discount code for every vacation. My last vacation was Dec 2009 and the discount I received on that one was in my sister's name. The vacation before that was in June 2009 and my discount was for my Visa Chase Rewards card. The last actual pin code I recieved from Disney was in 2005! Each one after that was related to either my Visa card, somebody traveling in my party or a general public promotion.

Funny, now that I bought into DVC and do not make reservations through CRO, I receive a pincode in the email about every 6 weeks.

For me once I booked a trip I seemed to get more pin codes. Once I came home they disappeared, now that I have another trip planned I have received a few, but am wondering if I will get more as the time draws closer.

Good thread. I was just thinking the same thing.


Leading up to our September Disney vacation, we were receiving updates/notices, pins, and reminders on a regular weekly basis. Now that our vacation is over, all communication has stopped.

I just hope the pins start coming my way again in 2012 as our next Disney vacation gets closer.
