email has bug

is there a way I can get rid of it? Everyday random emails are sent out from me - mostly the click on here to see a hot bod kinda emails.

How can I clean this up?

Make sure Windows is patched and all current updates are installed, do a virus scan, run the Malicious Software Removal Tool (start - run - type 'MRT' press enter, select full scan), and change your email password.

Oh, and make sure the password has upper case and lower case letters, a number, a symbol, and no words that can be found in any language's dictionary.

Are they actually being sent by your email client or is someone spoofing your email address as the return address? If it's the former you can probably run something like Spybot, Ad-Aware or MalwareBytes to find it. If it's the latter, then there is nothing you can do except change your email address.

You should also change your email password just in case you have been compromised.

This also can happen if your computer is fine but someone who has you in their email address book is infected. The virus/malware on their system pulls your email address from their address book and spoofs it in the "From" field on the spam it is sending out.

You definitely should do what the PPs have suggested, however, and make sure you are running good AV and firewall programs at all times.
