Hi

Is there a direct email address for AoA? Want to ask some questions/ make requests but only email I can find is the central Disney one. Can you contact te resort directly?

Thanks

There is no e-mail for a specific resort. You should add your requests to your reservation by calling the normal reservations line.

Even if you call the resort "directly", you'll be routed to a call center who will answer as if they were at the hotel. They're not; they may not even be in Florida.

Here's the mail address:
2901 Osceola Pkwy, Lake Buena Vista, FL, 32830

ETA: Sorry, that's the wrong resort (that's AKL). Here's AoA's address:
1850 Animation Way
Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830-8400

Yes, the call center handles all f this so the resorts can deal with guests on property.
Exactly. After all, you've never seen a front desk cast member on the phone, have you?

(BTW, even if you call "the front desk" from your room at a resort, it goes to the call center who then routes it where it needs to go. So if you want or really need something, walk over to the front desk and ask!)

There's a list of all resort phone numbers at www.disneyworldgps.com

I just called my resort today and found the phone numbers there. I wasn't calling to make a request though.

Huh, interesting! I didn't know that. That doesn't apply to mousekeeping, I don't suppose? So what do they do when say, you call to ask for a pack n play? Does the call center answer and just pass the message along? I've had to make such a request before and they brought the pnp to me very quickly. I would've never known it was a call center otherwise. I do have to say though, whatever Disney is doing with their call centers, it's totally different from any I've ever dealt with. They're so quiet! Which is very unusual since call centers consist of a large room with many cubicles of people answering calls so you can hear the chitter chatter in the background.

You do speak to a call center, even if you are in the resort.

For say, a request like a pak n' play, the CM at the call center/reservations notes it on your reservation. When you check-in and your room is released for occupancy, it will be noted on the computer by Mousekeeping and they will place it in your room.

Any other requests, I.e. close to bus stop, will be noted by the room assigner when reservations rolls over the reservations via computer to the actual resort.

The only time an actual call will go to the front desk is if the CM feels it warrants being transferred. Disney assigned a different number to each resort, so the person at the call center could answer as if they were actually in the resort. It is all about the illusion that you are talking to someone at the front desk, but it allows the front desk to concentrate on those actually at the resort.

I'm sure there's some technology that sends a message from the call center to Mousekeeping, either via voicemail, text, or some other system. That keeps the Mousekeepers doing their jobs rather than answering phones.
