I bought my dd6 the Frozen movie a while back with the Elsa character for Infinity with it. I saved the Elsa and put it in my dd15's Easter Basket.
She is telling me that she cannot use the Elsa character because she needs something else…is it the disc?
How do I get a Frozen disc for her to be able to use it? I don't know much about the Xfinity game obviously:good vibes

She also has a rock looking thing that she got from her starter kit. Does she need one of these for the Frozen Elsa figure?

As long as you have the starter kit, that is all she needs. Elsa can only be used in toybox mode.

We just ran into someone at TRU with this same problem. Correct, that Elsa can only be used in Toy box mode, after that there is nothing else she needs. You will find that some are just broken , but are easily exchanged for the SAME character, even with out the receipt. We have gone through this with Venellope and Elsa both from different stores. One from Target and the other from TRU. Only had the receipt for 1 as the other was a gift.

Okay, thanks. After posting my question I went online to look on Ebay thinking I need a disc. They do have a Frozen one. What would the disc do?

The disc will change the way the background looks, but it doesn't do anything for the game play. No characters, challenges, etc. Just the look of the background. Note that there are two Frozen discs -- one for the sky and one for the ground. You don't need either one since all characters in the toy box can play together. We put Elsa vs. Rapunzel quite often, in a world with neither one of their backgrounds.

Yup, those are just the extra power discs, you DO NOT need them to play ELSA, they just make it more of a FROZEN world.

There are several characters that do not yet have their own dedicated game (meaning they can only be played in "Toy Box Mode", among those being:

  • Characters from "Frozen"
  • Characters from "Wreck-It Ralph"
  • Characters from "Phineas and Ferb"
  • Sorcerer Mickey
Those characters only playable in Toy Box mode are identified with a blue toy box in the upper right hand corner of the packaging. Others who have their own dedicated games/lands within Disney Infinity are represented by that franchise's icon (For the Pixar movie characters and "Pirates of the Carribbean").

So, this is what post #3,000 was supposed to be?

I completely agree with you on the toy box only characters. But if I'm not mistaken you do get some challenges to earn spins (I think) that are unique to each character. I know that's one of the things my son enjoys about his toy box characters.

Elsa is my favorite...I just wish she had 3 chests and her freezing power was in one of them. Can you imagine Jack Sparrow freezing people?
