I do my usual weekly calls of local Disney stores each week for THE dress. Today, the stores are saying that demand is so high for Frozen product, they are not allowed to speculate as to when they are expecting a new shipment. Also, stores are no longer allowed to hold Frozen merchandise once it arrives, so you're only option is to have them Guest ship it if you're lucky enough to call and they have it in.... This is crazy!! We don't have JC Penny in Canada.

We bought our dress at JCP. I'm pretty sure it's identical to the ones pictured above. Some JCPs now have mini Disney Stores (similar to Sephoras) located inside their stores where they sell Disney Store merchandise...it's this mini Disney Store where we bought our dress. Everything else is all the same as what's sold at the Disney Store, I can't imagine these dresses are any different. Our local Disney Store (the one at the Mall of America) has never had any Elsa dresses in stock when I've been there, so I don't have an in-person basis for comparison. But those dresses pictured above look exactly like my daughter's dress. It's higher quality than what you find at Wal-Mart, Target, etc. It's a very "sold" dress, IMO.

However, today, she received an email stating her order had been cancelled because the items aren't available.

The Elsa dresses I have seen at JC Penny are NOT the same as the Disney store ones....just FYI. They are different/ appear to be nicer than the Walmart/ Target ones....but different than the Disney stores ones.

How did people get wind of the dress and Frozen items going on sale on the Disney site last week? I'm only asking to know how to learn of any upcoming releases on the Disney site. As of tonight, I too have joined the masses in looking for an Elsa dress for my little girl. I don't mind getting up at 2 a.m. once and getting a dress, but to check on a nightly basis "in case" Disney releases some might make it hard for me to get up and go to work each day. Any word on when they'll release the next round of dresses? Thanks!!!

I started checking a few days before the movie release each morning around 2 a.m. central time. I got really lucky, and they put more out the morning of the movie release. I think it will be hard to guess when they will be back in stock next. I hope you find one. My little girl is over the moon ecstatic about hers. (And there is glitter all over the house from the dress to prove it. LOL)

And the JCP ones are definitely different than the Disney Store dresses. My daughter's friend has one. They are nicer than the Target version though. A couple of DD's friends have gotten rashes from those because the material is more scratchy.

can anyone tell me how much they cost?? in the parks or at the disney store??? i don't want to search and not be prepared incase i find one. We are going on april 26 and would love to find one before or while there but hopes are not to high .
Where in the parks would be the best place to look??
also as we are from Canada shipping from the disney store is crazy !! has anyone ever ordered from the store and had it shipped to their hotel?? we are dvc so on property ??

I bought one on 3/14 and it's backordered. Never got a notice it was backordered, I just happened to be checking the status. I fully expect it to be canceled. I've heard other people are having the same problem. Unfortunately for me, it was a birthday gift (for today!) so I had to buy her something else.

Disney Store dress was $49. Disney Parks dress was $69 (i'm pretty sure).

This is such a bummer, I'm having the same issue. My daughter's birthday is in two weeks, and I've been promising since CHRISTMAS that she would be able to get her one for her birthday. Silly me for thinking that it would be available nearly 4 months later. Last week by some small stroke of luck, I was able to get the fancy Elsa nightgown at the Disney Store on DVD release day. I literally had two people try to take it out of my hands in the store too. So it'll have to do, I've given up wasting the time and effort to find something that will eventually be restocked. I hope you luck out with something eventually.

I posted this on a separate thread but thought it would be good to post it here also.

There are Anna and Elsa dresses available for pre-order from The Little Dress Up Shop online. They don't come out until June but that works for Halloween or any later in the year Disney trips.

I got one of each for my DD and dresses for her AG dolls also. Wish they would be here for our May trip but I'm just happy we will have them for Halloween.
