Elsa Costume ~ Why me :)

I found one on Etsy for $120. I'll pm you the link. I'm no sure if it's against the ruls to do so on he fourm.

They had them at Epcot in Norway. But that was before the movie came out. Now I'm sure they sell out like wildfire.

has anyone tried calling disneyland merchandise guest services to see if they have any you could have shipped?

YES! I called them. They are SOLD OUT in the parks too! More Elsa dresses have been ordered, but they couldn't tell me when they would be available.

I saw this yesterday and don't know if anyone is still looking, but I thought I'd share just in case.

I recommend looking at JCPenney. I don't know if this is an across-the-board thing, but one of our local ones had a mini-Disney store in the children's section complete with Frozen costumes, shoes, and wigs. They looked just like the ones in the Disney Store, and I was surprised that there were so many sizes (Anna and Elsa) available. This was just a few days before Christmas as well.

I make no promises, but it may be worth checking out. Good luck on your dress searches!

ETA: Okay, I just did a search, and the JCPenney dress is similar -- not identical -- to the Disney Store one. It's still pretty nice looking and would be a step about what you'd find at Target or something. They are sold out online, but your local store may have what you need. Here's a link just in case you want to see what it looks like.

I'm just annoyed that Disney named a Princess Elsa.

I have a six year old daughter named Elsa and it was a very uncommon name and now there are going to be a billion little girls named Elsa six years younger than her and everyone is going to assume we named her after the Disney movie in a few years after it is far enough away that people don't realize that the math doesn't work out on their assumption.

Elsa isn't as uncommon as you think. I can tell you my almost 6 year old LOVES not having just a princess named after her, but a QUEEN!!!

Good find, no such luck for me *just called my three nearest stores* aw well, it's not needed here till early July *DD's birthday* or Halloween.
ETA - neat ~ http://m.bizjournals.com/dallas/news/2013/10/03/jc-penney-to-launch-disney-store.html?r=full *my nearest Penney's has one it seems, I haven't been in a while... We'll have to check it out!

The popularity seems to have been generally increasing since the 80s, having been similarly popular in the 60s. In 2012, it was the 551 most popular name. It was only the 722 most popular name in the US when the person who originally posted named her daughter, if I have the year right on a 6 year old.

I didn't name her, but my dog's name is Elsa...

I have a sweet little great aunt named Elsa :)

I just searched on jcpenney.com, and lo and behold...they said the store closest to our house had Elsa dresses in stock! The only store in a 3 state area that has one! So I called to verify before running down to the store...and it's true! They DO have one! That they're holding for me!

EEEEEEKKKKKK!!!

We were just there a week ago. There are mountains of kids running around in Elsa and Anna costumes in the parks. They are selling them in the Park stores and DTD - if you can wait until you get there, rather than spending too much for one online.

Oh good! I hope your daughter feels as beautiful in the dress as it is itself. :yay:

That's a great cushion to find one. I hope you do sooner than later; it's one less thing to think about. Good luck!

I went and picked it up...it's much higher quality than the dresses we've had in the past from places like Target or Wal-Mart. She squealed when she got home and I pulled it out of the bag. She's so excited! They only had one Large and she's wearing size 8 right now, so it's a little big, but she still loves it. I couldn't believe there was only one in the store...the women working were incredibly nice and they said that they're selling out as soon as they come in. I just got lucky that I checked when I did. So thanks to everyone in this thread for reminding me to check today! I've been checking nearly every day, and had just checked Wednesday, and there was nothing.

How was the sizing? A store near us has some smalls in stock, which it says is a 5-6. I have a little girl currently wearing a size 6, but heading toward a 7. Her 5-6 Sofia costume from the Disney Store still fits her wonderfully, but I'm not sure if the sizing on these is the same. I can't decide if I should buy the small or hold out for a medium.

I called Disneyland. They told me they were sold out and couldn't tell me when they would be in stock.

The cast member at my local Disney store told me they weren't expecting to get any more Elsa in until March!

My daughter is 7 and is wearing size 8 clothes (she's tall). I got her the large, and it fits great. Obviously it's loose around the waist, but the length is perfect for her. They had a small on display and it looks like a toddler dress.

Wow how not surprising. Creating demand and not providing the supply until three months later which, "coincidentally", is when they release the DVD. Sheesh... The Disney Marketing Machine... My daughter is in love with her Elsa pjs. The nightgown that looks like Elsa's dress... Good luck!
