I am confused as to why you are walking around the carousel? I haven't done RD at MK in some years but I remember the first RD at the gate then I got stopped at the castle. Isn't A&E to the right if you were to go through the castle? What path do they make you take at RD these days?

Be at rope drop in the front. We got to the parks at 6:30 for a 7 am start. Do not watch the opening ceremony be in line ready to move with the crowds. For A & E go to the left.

They will walk you through. We got through in about 5 minutes
Go at rope drop it will not be that long of a wait.

I kept trying for fast passes and went with the one person option with success. Then I copied the reservation over to two others and it worked.

I've had no luck in getting Fast Passes to visit with Elsa and Anna in the Magic Kingdom. (We are only visiting MK). Is there anywhere else that they will appear (parades, etc.)? I've heard that the wait times can be tremendous. Thanks in advance.

you need to be away from the front of the crowds in order to look up and see the show-they're above you at the train station. This means lots of people will get in to the park before you simply due to your position. If you want to be first in the park, don't worry about seeing the show and position yourself right at the front by the tunnels. it's still the same opening time, just you're at the front of the pack.

If you go through the castle, they make you walk around the carousel and go the long way to A&E. They won't let you cut between the carousel and PFH right now. That's why many people don't go through the castle and instead cut to the right of the castle, like they're going to the teacups. It allows you to avoid the jam of people going through the castle and around the carousel, because when you come into Fantasyland, you'll already be on the "right" side of PFH.

Last summer, we visited A&E just before 11:30 pm. The posted wait time was 90 minutes but the actual wait was less than 10.

We still had time to ride 7D twice before the park closed at midnight.

Our FP's for A&E are at like 7pm, so at least I've got some. But my plan is to rope drop on that day (EMH) and try to get us to near the front of the line so we can get A&E done and then change the FP to something earlier so we can get more FP's. We'll see how it works.

Would the latter half of this strategy apply if we're coming from an 8:05 Crystal Palace breakfast on a non-EMH day? We're going to try to finish breakfast by 8:50 (planning to get to the park between 7:15 and 7:30 to be among the first at the podium, will ask for check when we order, and we can live without seeing every Pooh character), and I understand that they let the early ADRs wait in the carouse area. Trying to figure out where we should try to be in that general area...

I want to know this too. We have CP reservations for the same time. I understand that we can get to the RD area ahead of the crowd.

They typically don't let any early ADR folks in until 7:45 or 7:50, so getting there ate 7:15 will get you to the head of the ADR line but nowhere else.
