Friday, March 28th (3pm show) - Jonas Brothers

Saturday, March 29th (1:30pm show) - Kellie Pickler


Remember you do NOT need tickets to see the live performances in CityWalk. Just arrive in front of the stage prior to show time depending on how close you want to get. The performers usually perform 2 songs.

Wow...that's pretty quick then...usually they tape months in advance. I'll have to check my television listing and set the DVR.

I really like her!

I was there but not for Ellen. I went to Universal yesterday not realizing she was there and let me tell you can you say mob. We were trying to walk from IOA to the movie area and you could not even walk through citywalk due to the areas they blocked off by the stage. There were about 100 people there at 1PM waiting for Pickler to come on. It was like a maze and ridiculous and god forbid an emergency happened it would be awful. If I would have known that I would have went from IOA to US and around. It took a good 15 mins to go past. I went last year knowing she was there (to see a few singing acts because she was taping 2 shows that day) and it wasn't anything like this and the stage was in a different area then. It wasn't really thought out this time it seems. Everything seem so unorganized to me and cluttered on citywalk like soo much equipment then last years. I mean I love Ellen and enjoy her show but this was a Universal issue not her.

But would love to hear everyone else's experience too.

I was there Friday not in the audience, and saw Flo Rida. I watched her show with Jeff Foxworthy from across the bay in front of the Hard Rock. I could see her fine. I was also next to the cannon that shot her out
There were very few people where I was. It was crowded by where her set was but you could move.

The shows air Mon, Tues & Wed.

I went to the taping of the show on Saturday, March 29th. The show airs this Wednesday. We saw Jenny McCarthy, Chikezie (sp?) who just got voted off American Idol, and Kellie Pickler. I thought it was odd that we couldn't see Ms. Pickler perform in person. The concert stage was across CityWalk from the Ellen stage where we were sitting. We had to watch it on the screens they have set up on the Ellen stage. But we were told we had to still dance and clap etc because we might be on tv.

I agree that they didn't seem to plan for the congestion of people very well. They had us organized at The Groove, then led us down right thru where people were trying to exit/enter IOA. I'm not that familiar with Citywalk to suggest alternatives, but that did not seem like the best plan.

I'm a big fan of Ellen and it was a great experience to see her show in person. If anyone has any specific questions, let me know. I know I want to try to go again next year!

We were at the Saturday taping and had a blast -- but sure were glad they handed water out before we went into be seated. It was one hot day!! We had "stand-by tickets" so got there early enough to be second in the stand-by line.

I'll be interested to see the show on Wednesday. How they taped it surprised me. It's pretty much a "what you see is what you get" type of deal. They cut for commercials for the length of time commercials would be played -- I figured they were spliced in later, or whatever. The wonders of modern communications!
