I received this email as well...nice of them to send it. I will be in the riff-raff group! Still not sure what the "musical guest" will be although I heard maybe Usher. Going back to Universal in 5 days!:cool1:

Does anyone know when the Universal taped show will air?

I wondered if they didn't tape the morning of the same day they aired the way Letterman, Leno, Fallon, etc do, but I looked up the March 28th show on TiVo and the description said nothing about Universal.

I'd love to record the show when it does air!

Just googled to see if I could find out when show is airing........seems it's going to air Thursday and Friday, April 1st and 2nd.

I went online the day after it was announced. It was showing "tickets available" so I clicked on it and registered. I would think it would be first come, first serve, but obviously not. Why would they not take however many registrants as seats they have available and shut it down then? I went back online a few days later and it was showing "tickets not available", so i assumed I got in while there still were tickets???? Anyway, I have not gotten an email or a call. Oh well, guess I'm glad I didn't buy plane tickets yet. Anybody know how this whole thing worked?

I know, it's kind of a bummer. Since tickets weren't available a couple days after I requested, I thought I had a good chance and booked a hotel. Oh well, I'll go to WDW and spend money there instead!

well, at least I know I am not the only one that got in when it was still shows tickets available and still didn't get one. I was thinking maybe it was my computer and it didn't go through or something.

As someone who got the tickets, I requested what I believe was the first day they were available. Ellen spoke about it on the show and I was requested immediately since I was already online (it may have been the week she was on at 2 instead of 3 due to the Olympics).

I received a call back that night...probably around 6/7 EST. I got the tickets in the mail about a week ago and received a confirmation phone call today confirming that I will still use both tickets!

I saw Fake Ellen filming stuff around Universal yesterday. It looked like they had a guy dressed as Ellen with a wig on. ha. Also they were setting up something in the citywalk lagoon near the hotel guests boat area.

I did the same and got nothing.....

I went to the 12 p.m. taping on Sunday (did not have tickets, but sat off to the side). Sharon Osborne, girl that just got booted from American Idol, and musical guest Usher. It was pretty fun show and I did get to see Ellen and Portia. The "Know or Go" segment was fun to watch!:happytv:

I too applied for tickets the day that it aired on t.v. Never received a call and then just last week, I got the email saying "Sorry tickets are gone, but we would like to have you in Riff Raff room". It was too short of a notice to actually plan anything then so I just chalked it up as dumb luck. I think ticket selection must have just been random. :confused3

So where are the pics from those that were lucky enough to get tickets?
