Non-Disney Online Games Elf Island

Ah, what a sweet thing to say.

By the way, Aengus, thanks so much for all the research and effort to find safe games for us. It is much appreciated.

Just doing some surfing, found something interesting about one the developers of the game. Gives a little history about his development background.

Kronenberger

Very nice response back Aengus! :goodvibes Thank you for checking into the site and keeping your eye out for the kid in all of us!:rotfl:

princess is preregistered as princessmadi (it wouldn't let her do her entire VMK name) Could just be the username but not the character name as mentioned already. I've noticed princess just wants to find a place to settle down and find ALL her VMK friends in one place again. (she still wants VMK back BIG TIME!)
She's had her eye on Elf's Island for awhile now. THANKS cyre for the heads up!

Keep searching and you can find even more about the Kronenberger's.

I really love how they are including doing good into the game.

Yes, I did sign up me and my brother, I wonder if it will be the best option for a game that is the closest to VMK's quality and gameplay. Just have to wait and see like everyone else.

I had the page bookmarked after Mimi had posted about it, and signed up after Cyre posted the link. Thank you both for your time and information. Thank you Aengus, as well, for being so diligent to check out more about the game safety.

When telling my family over dinner about the game my oldest bother (no, I didn't misspell it), 'Well you are already an elf anyway'. Hey 5'3" isn't that short!!!

If only I had had my pyromancers deck with me.... grrr....:wizard:

Please :) and yes I am saying Please!

Please do not use this as ammunition against a particular game. Lets all just be happy with a great response for this game. It would be very unfair to do so under the current circumstances.

TY!

I was just about to quote and remark... but I'll keep my big mouth shut for once.

I didn't name any names... :rolleyes1

kidding. I understand and won't say any more to aim it towards any sites in particular.

back on topic. wow didn't realize there was so much into it! this coppa stuff is way serious! but i guess it has to be when kids are involved! Good to see them doing so much to protect kids!

I understand you're "kidding" but I think it would be best for all involved if you just deleted your original post. :)

Thanks everyone for the information. We reserved our names so no one else could take them but as with any game we will proceed with extreme caution.

Does anyone think that they will charge kids/their parents to play this game? or maybe like some type of membership where only members can access certain spots? Personally I hope the game is free in all its parts and they get some company to sponser them or they have some advertisments on their site somewhere.

While I would love to find a free game, VMK being fully free was a rare thing in the game world from what I've seen. Not many games are set up as a promotional tool with a huge advertising budget behind them. Most support themselves by offering paid features.

Well VMK had a multi-million dollar Corporation to back it up, with this game I believe 2 couples made this game or started it. While it could be nice to get funding or some type of sponsership with the game since it promotes good moral values and lessons. Also it wouldnt hurt to have some kid friendly advertisments on the page to help with maintaining the game. The game seems very friendly and seems like VMK quality, but again, we still wont know until they let players into the game. I think i'll email them and ask if they have any future plans for pay to play.

On the sign up up page there is a new link that has been added it says COPPA Concerns? and when you click it it brings you to a page explaining what they are doing. It is basically the letter they sent aengus.

I've signed up. Hopefully it'll be fun, engaging and won't overload my ancient computer.

Nope. 5'3" is tall to me. You can tell your oldest "bother" that you know an adult who's only 4'7". ;)

heh Trust... then verify. I have no doubt in my mind that it will be implemented exactly as they said, but of course its a faith leap now. We have to see it happen

Then phase II

Hopefully it has some appeal for us adults also ROFL. Lets face it, we dont know what its all about yet as far as actual game play.

Thats why I am cautiously optimistic, or was it optomistic? I forget :rotfl:

Signed myself and my fiance up! The first thing out of his mouth when I said the registration is up was, "Did you sign me up?". We both love how it looks so far. We hope that it will be adult appropriate. I guess we just assumed it would be. (Oh yes, forgot to post an announcement that we became engaged on June 29th.)

The bad thing about the registration is I had to go back to my VMK name of MyAwesome since my favorite title of MyHorseAwesome is too long :( Maybe this is a sign that I am about to go back to a happy place.

Hugs to Pink  May your Dis friends help cushion the bumps in the road of life. Sending good thoughts your way.
