Eleven ain't Heaven, or Stickies are Getting Icky

If the search function on this site was useful, this would not an be issue. As it is, once a thread disappears from the front page, it becomes more and more difficult to find as it is pushed further back into older pages.

Eleven spots on the first page of this forum are now taken by sticky posts. Nine more regular threads could appear on the front page by combining the sticky posts into two - one for information and the other for photos. These two posts would contains links to the present sticky posts. The only cost to someone looking for these eleven threads would be an extra mouse click.

The same questions are asked over and over because someone can't find relevant posts. When they add a question already in this forum, they are unintentionally making other information hard to find.

ITA!!! And some of the stickies have links that don't work anymore...... I know our mods are super busy and we are a good board that doesn't require much supervision but it would be nice if those stickies could be combined/cleaned up some.

Agreed......time for a little spring cleaning. The tips are an invaluable resource but I think they tend to be overlooked because they appear on every single page. (almost like advertisments) If you surf the board for any length of time you tend to start ignoring them because they are ALWAYS in the way of the newer posts.

You guys are right -- we've kind of been talking about them, and there are some threads that should be part of the stickies.

Is there any reason why this is the slowest site to access on my cpu. Does anyone elese have this problem or is it just me?
