Elevators & Glass Elevator @Paradis Pier Hotel

Hi Everyone,
I heard the glass elevator only goes "up"... is that true?
I also heard there are extremely long wait times for the elevators... is that also true?
One person on Tripadvisor said they waited 30 min. for the elevator.

Elevator goes up. If you are on a concierge floor, it also comes down.

I've waited 10 mins on elevators. They are the 1 reason we don't stay at PPH.

My family stayed in May and never had to wait on elevators. Maybe one morning we waited a few minutes but never over 3 or 4.

As was said, anybody can take it up, but only concierge levels can take it down.

We stayed there in late June this years, using EMH every day and never waited for an elevator. Same thing we can back in the evening. And that was 7 of us w/ a sit & stand stroller.

When the line for the elevators gets out of hand in the lobby, the manager will usually escort some guests to use the service elevator. This happened to me twice when I stayed at PPH in September 2012.

I will attest to the elevator waits being very long. But we have had hotel staff escort us to the service elevators many times.

I always ride the main elevator up if I am staying on one of the upper floors...seems to be faster than waiting for it to go down.
