I have stayed at the Homewood Suites at the Convention Center a few times and we are currently booked for our next trip. The problem is I NEVER sleep well there because of the noise from above ususall. We are considering changing to the Element and doing the king room with the bunk (big draw is the bunk is in a seperate room at the Element vs HS). We need a full-sized fridge because my mom won't be doing the parks and just hanging at the room. Anyone have a comparison? Looking at trying it out and the distance etc. isn't a huge issue because we will have a car and she can drop us off/pick us up if needed.

As someone who likes some healthy food options rather than just sugar and oily meats for breakfast, the Element has my favorite free breakfast in the area. The rooms are modern and nice for this price point near Disneyland. If the prices were the same, I'd pick the Element.

Since you mentioned noise as a concern, you should know that at the Element, the air conditioning is on the louder side but at least the window soundproofing is really good so you don't get vehicle noises like you would at other hotels near that freeway.

This is helpful! I had weight loss surgery a year ago so “healthier” for breakfast is good. Most are too carb heavy (but at Disney I still over eat carbs compared to day to day- I more than burn it off).

Do you recall hearing noise from above, the hallway or next door?

I spent 9 years as a Flight Attendant. Noisy a/cs and even road noise are cool. but a yelling kid in the hallway or one running above me is just too much. its bizarre.

I didn't hear noises from next door or above/below. The front door didn't completely block out the hallway noise but I mostly heard it in the kitchen of my 2-queen room rather than in the sleeping area.

We have stayed at the element twice. Both times we heard people in the hallways and one time we heard people above us. Maybe you could ask for a top floor room?

I agree about the breakfast. It’s my favorite in the area not only for all the different choices they have, but for the layout of the breakfast room. It’s the same on both sides and both times we have been there, the lines don’t get crazy and chaotic like other hotels that offer an included hot breakfast.

Last time we stayed at homewood it was pretty rundown in the rooms. Some of our furniture had rips in the upholstery and the refrigerator handle broke off. If they are similar priced, I would pick the element.

Have a fun trip!
