We're having dinner at O'hana the night before our 7:00 seating at Chef Mickey's for breakfast? Is the parade worth it with us having to get up so early in the morning? Two small kids - ages 7 and 4

The water parade is right after the Wishes fireworks (at least it was last year when we stayed at the Poly). On multiple nights, we would watch the fireworks, then within about 5 minutes, the water pagent started.

I think the fireworks were at 9pm then the water pagent right after.

It was January, so things were a bit earlier than they may be now.

Was it worth it? If you plan on watching fireworks as well, then sure....if not, then it wasn't anything I would stay up extremely late for, or plan around.

We'll be in MK the next night - so Wishes isn't a big deal on that particular night. Problem is that our AR is for 5:00 - tried to move it, but the only other available times were at 8:00 (way too late for my kids to be eating). Wishes is at 9:00 that night, so I'm assuming the parade would be around 9:30. Honestly, it would be too late for us to be out with having to be up and at the bus stop at 6:15 or so the next morning. I'm just wanting someone to reassure me that I'm not missing much! :teeth:

I don't think it is anything to plan around.....it is nice to watch if you are in the area anyway, but not something I would keep kids up for by itself....especially if you have to get up early the next morning.

Well, alrighty then! We're staying at WL on the next trip, so we'll just save it for then. Thanks!!! :)

So if you go on a Wishes Cruise, you should be able to "catch" the EWP after you disembark? We'd be getting off at the Grand Floridian.

Believe me, you are not missing anything. I think this is one of the absolute lamest things Disney has ever done. Not worth any effort!!!!!

We were able to watch it from the balcony of our room from the CR. For the amount of effort we put into it, it was fine, but not worth a special trip or staying up past bedtimes for.

I love the EWP. Its on my can't miss list. I have to see it everytime when we are there or its not a trip to Disney. I would say go watch it. It only last about 5 min.
