are the outlets three prongs?? or just the regular two? thanks!

also, does the closet comes with hangers or do i need to bring my own?

counting down to my cruise and there are butterflies in my stomach! thing is, i'm so worried about the details that i might forget the obvious! yikes!

Check out this link from Dave's website and it described the outlets in the room.

You do not need to bring your own hangers...closets have thick wood ones (and you can request more if needed) but I pack most of my clothes on very thin plastic coated wire hangers that I just take out of the suitcase and hang up.....unpacking done in a flash!!!

And, I can you from personal experience that if you have any appliance like a hair dryer or curling iron that has that big black box plug, it will not fit in the outlet....you will need to bring an extension cord.

thanks! i too, like the instant hanging with the hangers already in the clothes.

I had trouble plugging into the outlet in the bathrooms. They appeared to be NON-polarized outlets, so my polarized plug would not fit in.

The outlets in the bathrooms are for some kind of shavers only....no other appliances and to me basically useless!!!

I found a small power strip to be the type of extension cord that was the easiest to use. Then I could easily plug my curling iron in at the vanity and leave the bathroom for DH and DD.

The outlets in the bathroom are supposed to be useless EXCEPT for VERY LOW POWER items such as an electric razor.

The outlets around the vanity, however, are "full power" as Dave's site shows.

Yes, I know they are supposed to be just for shavers (as I said)...so to me, since I do not use an electric shaver....they are useless!

Take a power strip ... if I hadn't neither DD nor I would have been able to charge our camera batteries ... her camera uses AA so she could have bought disposable ones ... but my camera uses a "camera specific" battery so I would have been outta luck

A power strip has three prongs....so you're saying the outlets in the cabins can accommodate three prongs?? what about irons? do they provide that in the cabins?

There are two 3 pronged outlets at the desk/vanity. These outlets are very close to desk surface and any plug with a large head will not fit. Thus, the need for a power strip. There are 2 more outlets behind the TV. One the TV uses, the other is free. You do have to reach behind the TV to use it. In Cat 12-4 staterooms, these are the ONLY outlets that can be used. (Except for the shaver only one in the bathroom) If you want to 'power' something away from the desk, by a number of feet, you will need an extention cord.

Yes, I guess it did since my power strip is a grounded three prong model ... there was a regular two plug outlet at the desk ... I didn't try reaching behind the TV.

If I remember correctly you weren't allowed an iron in the cabins ... you had to go to the laundry room and use the one there.
