Mistakes happen and you really seem to be expressing serious anger at the driver and even guests. I’m sure you and/or your husband have made mistakes at work. Try to be a little more understanding

One driver told me to put on the brake??? When I told him the ECV didn't have a brake, he argued with me.

Actually, almost all ECVs have a "brake" system of some sort - some of them are actual "parking brakes" (like my personal device has) and others have a "freewheel/brake" system that allows Cast Members to move a parked ECV (with no key present) easily and safely when needed.

Next time you rent an ECV, ask the delivery person, or your contact at the rental vendor if the unit has a brake to set, and if so, how to deploy it for safety.

The ECV had no brakes. It has a forward or reverse lever, when released, operate as the brake. The yellow lever on the bottom rear is the gear. Neutral so it can be moved freely, OR in gear so it can move. This ECV had no brake as such.
