Need some help deciding--its been over 10 years since I've been to Epcot so I'm sure things have changed and if they haven't I have a terrible memory. :confused3 Anyway me, DH, DD (6), and DD (3) will be at Epcot (Future World) for one day. Having breakfast in Norway with all the pricesses at 10:30 --then going over to Future World so thinking of a late lunch/early dinner. After a pricey breakfast -- the Coral Reef is out and not looking for another character meal so Garden Grill is out. So that leaves Electric Umbrella or Sunshine Seasons. Are they CS or sit down, good choises for the kids, seating inside or outside.....

Thanks for all your help.:thanks:

They are both counter service with indoor seating. Go to Sunshine. It has a much larger selection of food items, and much more spacious. Plus it's fun to see the hot air balloons. :)

Both are CS and it all depends on what your children like, but Sunshine Seasons has a larger selection. Sunshine Seasons is a great food court. The seating is all inside the Land. There is another thread that lists almost all the offerings. I haven't been to the Electirc Umbrella in quite a while. It was hambergers and chicken with a fixins bar from what I recall. There is seating indoors as well as outdoors. You can check out all menus on Allears.net. if you like. There are prices as well as all the offerings thoughtout WDW.

Well, if you are on the dining plan, there are no burgers or nuggets at Sunshine. That was a major factor for us, with a picky 9 y.o. and 4 y.o. Electric Umbrella was perfect for us.

I would recommend checking the menus. I've tried to take my kids to Sunshine Seasons and we've walked in, they look at the options and then we leave :sad2: Don't get me wrong, they have very good food there, it just doesn't ever seem to appeal to my kids while we're there

Theres no comparison, IMO... EU has the standard fare, while SS has a great variety, and it's much bigger. Something for everyone, and fab desserts as well:goodvibes No burger or dog to be found, though:confused3

I've always wanted to go to Sunshine Seasons, their food looks sooo good. This trip i'll be making a stop in there for some of the strawberry shortcake dessert, as a snack credit of course.

We ate at the Electric Umbrella, but for breakfast, just ok, the environment is no where near as cool as Sunshine Seasons, i like how they have hot air balloons on the ceiling.

Thanks for voting on my poll :)

Electric Umbrella is one of my favorite counter service locations and one thing they have that not alot of the other theme park locations have is a self sereve drink station, so you can get refills there.

We planned to eat at Sunshine, but my must-have-hamburger-for-lunch DS couldn't find anything at Sunshine.

Electric Umbrella was fine, and the upstairs was huge, empty, and AC'd, so we enjoyed a little peace and quiet during our lunch. We all got burgers & fries and they were fine.

I will say that the Sunshine food court was LOUD and chaotic, but the selections looked great!

For shear quality I would say Sunshine Seasons, but as others have said if all you want is a burger or chicken then EU is great for those!!

EE has more burgers and such, we like SS because of the soups and salads, sandwiches and pastries

:yay: Thanks for all your replys--they both sound great but I think I'll pull for SunShine -- with the variety. I'm going to look at the menu to see it they have anything like chicken strips. Thanks again -- and for the info links;)

We ate at both my DS'S & I prefer EU . Then when we went to SS I had a soup and salad I won't go back but DH loved it.

I've eaten at both and really there's no comparison! Sunshine Seasons all the way! There's just good food there! The only thing I found that I wanted to eat or share with my daughters at Electric was a fruit cup and I think it was old. At Sunshine Seasons my very picky DH had a wonderful sandwich, DD had veggie Chinese food and I had a California Roll plate and a cheese plate. It was all so good! My mom had been hanging out outside with my little DD, she was sleeping in the stroller and strollers aren't allowed inside the Land. I told her about the cheese plate and she got one too and loved it.
I'm so excited to go back in February partially to go to Sunshine Seasons again!

I do not have a picky child so for us it's Sunshine Seasons hands down. We love having the various choices offered at SS. There are so many places in WDW that serve burgers and fast-food type fare that it's nice for a change to be able to get something else.

Good choice! Sunshine Seasons is definitely the best CS in Future World. Lots of variety, and much of it delicious. :thumbsup2

Electric Umbrella is fine, but it's pretty much just another WDW burger joint.

We have eaten at both. If you want a good burger and you know ahead of time that is what you want than EU is the better choice. If you prefer variety than SS is much better choice. We do lunch at SS almost every time we are in Epcot. My GF and I have tried something different each time and have not been disappointed yet. One tip if you choose SS - grab a table when you walk in first and then either designate a couple people to get food for everyone or go up in shifts. You don't want to walk around until your food isn't hot anymore waiting for a table.

I love Sunshine Seasons!!!!!!!! They have an awesome selection.

I plan on trying Electric Umbrella soon.
