Electric shaver

Sorry for asking what may seem a stupid question but can DH still carry an electric shaver in hand luggage? I've looked at the official list and it only mentions razor blades. Obviously there are no blades with an electric shaver and I know we packed it in our hand lugagge last time but I would just feel happier if someone could confirm to me it's still OK.

Personally with all the recent security checks I would feel better about putting it in the hold luggage. I know battery items you need to show the battery works, so not too sure about electrical items that have no battery and are mains supplied only.

We were in Orlando last week for a property inspection trip and flew with only 2 cabin bags (i.e. no checked in hold-baggage).

I had my electric shaver with me and it was never queried.

(and yes, we did buy a property!)
