Electric Scooters?

My son has an electric scooter and would like to bring it on our first trip to the fort. Are they allowed?

I've sen them at FW before but I have no idea what the official policy is. I'd say go for it!

They are allowed on sidewalks, multi use path and the exercise trail.

Don't know the rules but have them be aware of what is coming behind them and that they need to follow the same rules as golf carts and cars stop at stop signs, look before crossing know what is coming behind you. Someone posted in another thread here that a little boy just got hit by a Disney Van yesterday the kid actually darted out of a loop and hit the van I guess he got banged up pretty bad.
I just got back and saw first hand how the kids on the electric scooters dart around without looking one did not even know we were behind him lucky we knew it and we knew he would cross over without looking behind him in which he did.
So just have him be very careful because Disney will put a stop to the scooters if this keeps happening.

I saw electric and gas being used last week. Some riders were well aware of what they were doing and what was going on around them and they followed common sense. Then there were the ID10Ts. I watched one not so intelligent youth, maybe 13, speeding down the road that runs behind the Meadows pool on a gas scooter, swerve into the oncoming lane to zoom around a pickup truck that was going too slow for his taste then go off the road into the woods between the road and the 1700 loop. I figured he was in trouble until I saw him skid to a stop on the sand pad behind a TT and smile at Dad. Boy he must have been proud.
