Electical Parade

The DEP is only run seasonally. It goes "dark" (doesn't run) after Labor Day. It will then come back for a brief period (about 2 weeks) surrounding the holiday peak season. It then goes dark again until Spring Break peak season where it will run nightly for the 2 weeks surrounding Easter. After that it runs on weekends only until Summer peak hits in mid-June when it will start running nightly again.

So, if you are planning a trip this fall, you won't be seeing it.

Well... it has been everyday at at 8:45pm at Disney's California Adventure all summer, but it operates seasonally and seems to be off the calendar after this coming weekend. It's on the calendar still for this Fri, Sat, and Sunday.

If you are in town, SEE IT. Hands down, my favorite Disney parade!

I rescheduled our vacation dates so we could arrive on Aug 30 to catch the Electrical Parade + Fantasmic! I cant wait to see those 2 shows. Last time I saw the EP (also my favorite Disney parade!) was in WDW in 1991 and the alst time i saw DL's Fantasmic was in 1994-95. We're so over due!!! I CANT WAIT!!!!

We are scheduled to go Dec 6-11, what are the odds we will see it? Is that too early in the season? Last time I saw it was 2003...

If we are there in May, we might be able to see it on a Saturday or Sunday?

It won't be running then. I'm predicting they will start running it on Dec 19, which is why I scheduled our Dec. trip around it.

If they keep with the same schedule they have had the last 4-5 years, then yes, you should see it running on weekends in May.

Anyone have a suggestion as to where to sit?

The one time that we saw this, we sat across from the Winery / Vineyard.
