Elderly home care companion - Philly area?

My mom is interested in finding a job being a companion to senior citizens in the Philly area. Something part-time that may include light housekeeping, etc. Does anyone know of a good agency in that area that she should check out? I went on-line and did a search and found a few agencies, but it's always better to hear from someone who has a personal experience with one in particular. She doesn't have any nursing experience, but she did care for my uncle who was incapacitated for over 20 years from a stroke. So, the agency would have to be one that handled non-medical personnel. Thanks a lot.

have her call her local social services agency. there is a program (called IHSS in most states-in home supportive services) that provides non medical services to seniors who meet a certain income criteria. social services could let her know what types of jobs these workers do and what their pay scale is.
