Anyone go to the parks in the weeks after elbow surgery? I don't have all (any!) the details yet, and of course I'll ask the surgeon as well. But trying to calm my nerves now :)

I assume an arm sling would get me "denied" from E-ticket rides? Same for an arm immobilizer? What about a full arm cast? Most important, will I still get to go on Grizzly?!?

My daughter rode everything she was tall enough for with a full arm cast (wasn't tall enough for Screamin). Water rides were down in January, so that wasn't an issue. The only thing I didn't let her ride was Goofy's Sky School.

They make some area sleeve thing for showers. I would do that for Splash. Not sure I'd risk Grizzly unless I had really tried it in the shower before and was confident it was watertight.

Nobody is going deny you entrance to any ride due to a temporary disability. If you have one good arm to brace yourself on some rides you will be fine. Have a great trip!

You will be allowed on all the rides. But you will need to figure out if you are comfortable riding. Depending on how long after surgery ou will be, you may have some after effects from anesthesia. Try out some easy rides before tackling the big roller coasters.

They will let you on anything. I would think hard about whether you can handle goofy's sky school and Indiana Jones though. That would be a lot of jarring and might kind of ruin your trip.

My son had elbow surgery last summer and we went to Disneyland a couple weeks later. Dr told him not to go on any jerky rides. He was missing baseball and we weren't about to mess around with his recovery just to go on a ride. He also had a removable cast because he was started physical therapy a couple weeks after surgery. A water proof cast wasn't an option with a removable cast.
