El Pirata y el Perico Restaurante?

I know that last fall they were testing the El Pirata y el Perico Restaurante dinner buffet...

Is it still open? Has anyone eaten there recently that can verify?

I miss the old restaurant..the taco salads were pretty good...

It wasn't open in February, but the map did list it as a counter service with taco salads, etc, open seasonally.

The last few years I've been, it has not been open. I always pass it and think, "That would be a good lunch if it was open".

When you go to MK check the flyer that lists parade and firework times. It also lists what day that restaurant is open. Last time we were there it was open only about 3 days a week.

I am so frustrated with this restaurant! We have been down three times within the past year and it has never been open! (We have yet to eat there even once.) My DS has especially been disappointed. It takes up so much space that they should decide if it's profitable or not...either keep it open all the time or replace it! UGH!

It was open in October when DH and Iwere there. Kind of sorry we didn't try it then. Is the counter service part open? We'd love to try the tacos and such next visit!

We were in WDW 2 weeks ago. I asked a cast member about the resturant. It;'s now only open during 'peak' times. He told me Easter, Christmas, New Year's and the 4th of July were the only times they planned on having the resturant open. It stinks because that place is great!

My daughters love this place! We had a nice stretch last year that we kept catching it open and then last May for their birthdays it was closed! We have not caught it open since. I really wish they would open it up more often. It is always good food and a nice change of pace for CS.

I love this thread! I have asked several times over the last year about the opening times. I've been to the world 4 times in the last 2 years and it's never been open at all! I went @ semi-peak times and off peak and nothing. I want to try it! I love POTC and for some reason I feel like I need to eat here. If anyone has seen it open recently, please let us know, thanks!

Bummer! We were there last October (the end of) and it wasn't open. I too love their taco salad.
