Oh yeah another question for you guys, I'm about to ask my parents for a new guitar, so...

Firebird

or

Telecaster?

to tell you the truth, i'm leaning towards the firebird...
but i really want to know your opinion.

but you just gotta love the firebird logo on the pickguard.

I would say telecaster(mostly because its a lot cheaper...and I like them more), but its really your decision but you should really go to a store and try each out first

I agree with KidGoofy the best way to decide on a guitar is try both out, I made the mistake of not doing that and I ended up with the bad guitar.

I always had trouble taking any type of music lessons, with dance I'm fine, but I don't learn as well if I take music lessons.
I had to teach my self to play piano, flute, guitar, and how to sing because I struggled when I took lessons.

The song I picked for my guitar teacher to teach me is "Spanish Castle Magic" by Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix's guitar play is so influential and amazing and I can't wait to learn more of his work.

In case you haven't picked this up by now I take lessons lol. I have some trouble teaching myslef and I have a really good guitar teacher who can teach me easier ways to play songs.

Twinks&Spinks I would get the Firebird even if it's an Epiphone you can't go wrong with Gibson brand guitars

All the different B chords confuse the shinanigens out of me :/ When it comes to actualy having to play one i just use the power chord bc i'm too lazy to go look in my book on how to play it LOL

STWolfe: haha thats cool man.. id get lessons too, but i really dont have much time to actually go to them... soo i just teach myself stuff on my own time.. and B chords are awesome haha.. theres a lot of them, but they pretty much make up most of the modern rock songs out there XD

thanks, we are kind of in between band names. We used Electric Umbrella for the concert, because we were using some of the footage for a movie, and we wanted to throw in a WDW reference. If you want to see the "movie trailer" here it is........

If anybody wants to learn some really easy riffs that sound really cool you should earn some AC/DC. For example, Thunderstruck sounds really hard but it's actually pretty easy.

Does anybody know a good way to do pinch harmonics? I keep trying to position the pick just right but it doesn't work, and when it finally sort of works when i bend the string the harmonic goes away :/

Dont they just use power chords

and I think you need to use distortion...not completely sure because I have never done it
