El Capitan Theatre with a three month old?

I really would like to see the Tinkerbell Movie at the El Capitan Theatre and bring along my darling of a three month old too. Guess she'll technically be four months at the time. I thought she might be enthralled by all the pretty colors.

I am a brand new Mommy and figured I should ask...Are the movies played here quite loud that it might bother her little ears? Our family would be going during a weekday in early October, is there a day or a time that would be more appropriate and not very bothersome to others? I was thinking like a morning or noon showing would be a good idea..

Any thoughts or comments! Please be kind :flower3:

Other than the Disney spectacle and the expensive, reserved seats, the
bottom line is the El Cap is a standard movie theater. It can get pretty loud
in there because it's a top of the line, Hollywood movie theater.

And anyone could be bothered by a baby who fusses or makes noise - no
matter what time the showing it. But perhaps an earlier showing will have
more families with small babies so fewer will be bothered.

How has your little one reacted to other movie theaters?

Thanks for your response!

This would be our little girl's first time to a movie theater, that's why I thought I'd ask this question. I've heard of some family friendly theaters that will lower the volume of the movies during some shows so I didn't know if this was one of those theaters.

I talked with an El Captian Theatre employee today and he thought our baby would be fine. He said that he sees lots of little ones under three constantly. I'm thinking about getting some of those little orange ear plugs for her anyways. Just something soft to buff out the loudness of the movie and go for it.

I think that you will be fine! Will you be here on 9/28? A bunch of us will be going together and we need another person for our group seats. We'll have our kids at the 12:15 show.

My oldest went with me to the theater all the time as an infant. I would nurse her through the first part of the show and she would sleep through the rest. The early shows - no one cares. Kids movies always have little kids who will talk out loud. It's the nature of the game. You'll be just fine. Check out our thread if you want to come with us. It's at the very top of the Southern California section.
