El Capitan Theater

Has anyone here been to the El Capitan? I've been promising my DD that we would go see a movie there, but the tickets are really expensive. Do they have anything other than a movie when you go, or are they just really expensive movie tickets?

General admission tickets are around $10 and VIP is around $25. VIP gets you popcorn, a drink, and preferred seating. Right now Meet the Robinsons is playing. POTC III starts May 25th. There's usually a stage show or something related to the movie.

We have been on several occasions- some times it was worth every penny, others I felt were very expensive movie tickets. We went to the Monsters Inc and Dalmations ones and had a blast. They had 4 stories of interactive games and activites for both. The Princess tea was horrible.
It is a neat thing to do at least once because of the setting-it's beautiful and it's fun to sing along with the organist before the movie.
General Admission tickets are comparable to regular movie tickets ($11-12) and those seats are decent. The other seats are better, but not always worth the $22.
