Either way my dream came true! Nov 2012 PTR....Trip Cancelled :( but a new PTR

Today will be our first full day at the parks! The plan is to get up early enough to be at Hollywood Studios by 8:45 since I hear they frequently have been letting people in early. I figure we will probably split a quick serve breakfast from Everything Pop. I plan to get a half gallon of milk from the food court on our first day so when we split breakfasts we can use our drink to get DH some oj. I have a calcium and iron defiency so I try to drink 2-3 glasses milk a day and having it available in our room fridge this time will be very nice. I'm kind of hoping the DH will want a glorious POP waffle this morning because I have been craving one since we left last year!

What will we ride first? ...hmmm... thats a hard one...Just Kidding! We will ride Toy Story Midway Mania, its one of those must dos but I totally hate waiting in the ridiculous lines later in the day. After that we will just ride whatever we have fastpasses for or are in the mood for. I would like to try to see Beauty & the Beast since we didn't get to last year. We have a 3:30 ADR at Hollywood & Vine for the Fantasmic! package. I know a lot of people say the food isnt that great but we checked into Menus and Mama Melrose & Brown Derby dont have any food that appeals to DH :confused3 Fantasmic! is at 6:30 and we plan to leave the park right after.

Oh but wait we aren't calling it a night :rolleyes1 at 7:30 of course not! Now is time to put those park hoppers to use. Magic Kingdom has extra magic hours from 8p-11p so off we go. The only real plans for the rest of the night is DH wants some Nachos from Casey's.

So at lets recount: 2 days... 6 hours total between 2 visits to Magic Kingdom...10 hours in 1 visit to Hollywood Studios.

I am hoping to have a 16 weeks until we leave movie night tommorrow or Thursday. I haven't decided yet if we will watch Tower of Terror or maybe Toy Story 3 (depends if the nieces and nephews are here). For our 17 week dinner we had Nachos and hot dogs a la Casey's last week and I have been so tired I forgot to take pictures :( I know I know bad dis' er

So I apologize in advance because there are no food pictures this time. We had 5 of my brothers 6 kids and they are 6,4,3,2 & 21 months! Need I say anymore? Here's a picture of my brothers 5 youngest...

Spring2012084.jpg

The foot you see crawling away is the 21 month old and yes those are unicorn suckers from Goofys Candy Co they are all eating! Last year we had several snack credits left so we bought 6 bags of these suckers and they were in Christmas stockings and Easter baskets.

This mornings movie was Tower of Terror. We teach the kiddos that movies aren't scary that they are just spooky and spooky is fun! The oldest three watched the whole movie. :scared1: The two year old played with her baby princesses because well there is nothing she would rather do! Where was the 21 month old you ask? Well this is a picture from Easter too but it pretty much describes her...

She plays hard, then crashes hard where ever she happens to be.

Todays menu was fit for the Hollywood Tower Hotel....continental breakfast! :rotfl: We had mini danishes from Sam's Club, mini muffins, bananas, oranges, mini boxes of cereal, mini milks, and juice boxes. I put each thing in big bowls and let the kids use plastic tongs to get thier stuff just like they would at a hotel.

I'm pretty sure next weeks movie is going to be Snow White because I'm craving german food and most of the other movies nights I've seen people do for her have been sausage and kraut lol. :yay:

On the planning front I finally got a T-Rex for 11/13 :cool1: I had Rainforest Cafe ressies but we really wanted T-Rex to try something new. I am still hoping to find a little bit earlier ressie for Whispering Canyon on our first night, but if I don't its okay :thumbsup2

I bought a few pieces of clothing I will need since I don't plan to do laundry while at Disney. I am looking for a few pairs of shorts for the DH but he is a very odd size and will only wear levi relaxed fit shorts which are $40- $50 a pair! :scared1: :scared1: I'm entirely too cheap to pay that much for 1 pair of shorts!!!!! I used to be able to use a good sale and coupons to get them at JC Penney but since they no longer send out coupons and have the weirdest "sale" schedule I have ever saw now I don't think thats gonna happen. He may just have to make do with whatever I get him lol ::yes::

I will try to post our day 3 plans tommorrow.

I have to aggree with you aobut JC Pnneys now. I rarely even go look. I don't like the new no sale thing.

So after much, much deliberation we have decided.....to go back to just plain quick serve free dining :lmao: We kept talking about how out of 9 ADR there were only 2 we really really wanted. So I will be reworking all our plans. :surfweb: It may seem crazy but the more we discussed this the more it just made sense for us and the way we eat.

Also we figured out we would be paying just under $300 for our upgrade and one of the three ADR we want to keep I have a $75 in gift cards to ;) So I now have a large project of reworking plans, a very happy hubby since he will have way more park time and at least $200 in extra "Disney Christmas Shopping" money. :yay:

So we leave in 104 days and we will be at the happiest place on earth in 105 days!!! Every morning when my husband gets home I ask if its November yet. Here's hoping these last 3 months go really really quick :goodvibes

We were supposed to have our 15 week to go movie night last night but I ended up having to go to the dentist :sad2: The hubby works tonight and tommorrow he gets home at 7am and has to go back in at 5:30pm  Oh and did I mention its our Anniversary and we have our neices 3rd birthday party tommorrow too :scared1: So Monday movie night it is!!

Oh and just in case anyone is wondering yes we are keeping it Disney for the Princesses birthday..

I have had that hidden since I found it in Febuary :rolleyes1 If you cross Tow Mater with Cinderella you get our little Miss K. She wears a camoflauge tutu with her tiara and John Deere boots. Seriously doesnt she look just so sweet princess:

Now onto the planning!!!!
We plan be at Animal Kingdom at 8am for extra magic hours. I know a lot of people don't really like EMH but we found especially at AK we accomplished so much last year. Last year we saw zero shows at any of the parks so my goal will be at least one show everyday this trip and today I want to see Festival of the Lion King. We plan to stay at AK until 3ish and then head back to the resort for a couple hours. After a brief rest we plan to head over to Hollywood Studios for thier EMH. I plan for this to be the night we see the Osborne Lights.

CIMG0087.jpg

Thats a horrible picture but if you haven't seen it think Chevy Chase's house in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation x 100 and your close! I absolutely love seeing these. Between these lights and riding Tower or Terror at night it will be a awesome night!

Ok so just a little public service memo....NEVER have a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese! :headache: They literally had 6 birthday parties at the exact same time, made the kids light their candles at the same time (which ended in tears by our princess because the girl beside us had a cake that looked like the Cake Boss made it!) and the overall horror of 6 parties worth of people shoved into a 20x20 area  Let alone the fact it costs more than anyone should ever pay for cardboard pizza and a creepy adult dressed as a 6 foot mouse

Ahh now that I have that off my chest on to the important things...Planning!!

Today the plan is...

EPCOT! There is morning EMH this morning but if someone "accidentally" :rolleyes1 turns off the alarm clock this morning I won't be broken hearted;) I can guarantee that we have the QS in Mexico for lunch because the DH still talks about the tacos de carne and churros! I am really looking forward to the caramel shop in Germany :woohoo: I didn't try anything there last year and after hearing everyones reviews I am pretty sure life won't be complete unless I get something here. I also hear that I need to try school bread but the reviews are conflicting. Some say its heaven on a plate:cloud9: some say its palin  guess I will just try it and decide for myself!

We are planning to head back to the hotel and freshen up before our ADR at T-Rex this evening. This was one of the two we really wanted to go to (I am married to a carnivore!) and since I will have $75 worth of gift cards to here from Mypoints by then it should be pretty close to a free dinner! :cool1: I really want to get some treats at Goofy's Candy Co (pretty sure after T-REx they will have to be to go!) and then #1 on our shopping list is Mr. Potato Head parts. I also want to get some Christmas ornaments and some presents for the 4 Princessesprincess: and 2 Piratespirate: in my life.

I understand about the chuck e cheese birthdays. It's also just gross in there. I fell like I need to be dipped in sanitizer each time we leave.

Great plans. I have t -rex on my list this year too.

Yes you read right we are having to cancel the trip. When we attempted to adopt our Princess we had to spend several thousand dollars in lawyer fees, home studies, and other misc. very costly things. Since we didn't finalize the adoption we aren't eligable for any of the reimbursements my husbands work offers. We could dip into our savings or put this trip on credit cards but we both aggreed that is just not what we want. So we have decided to cancel 2012 and move to 2013. Thats the bad news.

The good news is....2013 will be TWO WEEKS IN DISNEY AND UNIVERSAL!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

I am very sad but the feeling of two weeks and zero debt to do it will be a better feeling as soon as I quit crying :(

I am going to start a new pretrip report right now and I will come back and post a link

Ih that is too bad. But at least you know you can plan for next year. i have an idea about the adoption priocess. my Sister had adopted 2 princesses herself.
