Ok so lets start with this is my first attempt at a PTR so be kind:blush:

A little explaination of my title is we are currently trying to adopt a beautiful two year old Cinderella out of the foster system so if we are able to bring her home we will postpone and take her on a massive bibbidi bobbiddi adventure in 2013.

But if not....

We will be going crazy in our happy place November 10th-18th!!!!

So who are we you ask?

My name is Melissa and the DH is Brian. 2011 was my first trip to the World and Brian had not been for 20 years but, I can say we caught the Disney bug bad! :goodvibes Everything about our trip was a dream and with us both working in very stressful healthcare jobs we NEED the break and the chance to act like kids.

We are currently booked at POP Century and we love it there so I see no need to try anywhere else.

I will try to post our ADR plans tomorrow because I am still agonizing over them and I need to have them made next Monday :rolleyes1

Ok so as promised here are the ADR I'm trying for on Monday :goodvibes

Saturday 11/10- late dinner at Whispering Canyon...since Southwest has not released the flights for this week we really don't know when we will be arriving so I figure 7pm should be safe if not we will cancel and go with something from Everything Pop

Sunday 11/11- Fantasmic! dining package at Hollywood & Vine.. we never got to see Fatasmic! last year and of the three choices this is the only one that appeals to us.

Monday 11/12-late lunch at Rainforest Cafe (Animal Kingdom)...the DH demands we not have a dinner reservation because he plans to ride Everest as much as possible as the park is closing ;)

Tuesday 11/13-Late dinner at Crystal Palace...this one is questionable but according to our plans we will be in Magic Kingdom that night and CRT's menu just doesn't appeal to our country tastes :confused3 any suggestions??

Wednesday 11/14- Praying for a 7:30p Ohana reservation :worship: seeing as this is our Anniversary trip this will be the most romantic element if we can watch the fireworks while my carnivore hubby devours the meat

Thursday 11/15- Dinner at 50's PTC.. we ate here last time and "Cousin Scott" took away my walkie talkie (cell phone) for taking pictures during "family time" no matter what it takes I am determined the DH is getting in trouble this time :hyper:

Friday 11/16-Donalds Safari Breakfast..I would really like to do BOMA instead but I have yet to find a way to convince the hubs we don't need to be at every park from rope drop to close. Any Ideas?

Saturday 11/17-Sci Fi Dine In lunch...can honestly say I'm not really stoked for this one but I don't want to do any restaurant twice and we already have 50's PTC and Hollywood & Vine

Sunday 11/18- since this is departure day I'm hoping for a breakfast at 1900 Park Fare...When I was six I broke both legs and my get well gift was a Mary Poppins VHS tape I watched that thing so many times me and Ms Poppins have a tight relationship lol

So there's my long list if anyone reads this what do you think?

Sounds great! We will be staying at WL late November and I can't wait for Whispering canyons as I hear it's a lot of fun.

We loved Boma for the breakfast buffet, and it's great to walk around AKL for a little bit. It makes you want to stay there (now if it just wasn't so far from everything else....) There is a good mix of food at Boma and some items you won't see on any other buffet. Worth a try. I know he prob wants to be at rope drop to get a quick Everest ride in before the herd but it's well worth checking out AKL and going to Boma.
We are doing the Tusker house breakfast this time around, never been to it.

You should try Ohana's dinner the next time you vacation. It's awesome!

Good luck and I'm not sure how long it's been that you've been trying to adopt but I know how hard it is to want a child and it take so long to get them (though it's easy for the majority of people!) so congrat's to you and I hope your dreams come true!:yay:

Yay somebody is reading! :yay:

We have tried for 7 years to have one of our own during which my brother has had 6 kids :( but this little girl kinda of just fell into our laps. Right now it is down to her grandma adopting her or us so 50/50 is good odds!

Ya, infertility sucks. We tried 2 years and went through treatments and couldn't get pregnant. stopped treatments and ended up with our little girl naturally. Now it's been 4 years of trying for our second. Still trying!

I hope that you end up with your little girl!

Good Luck to you guys too!

So I thought today I would tackle the counter service meals the hubby and I think are just must dos not necesarily in order of favorites :)

#1 Caseys...The hubby says he is still dreaming of the nachos from last year and lets be honest cotton candy as a dessert does life get better?

#2 Pinocchio Village Haus...The penne pasta was delish along with the mango gelato and if your patient and go during a off time those awesome tables where you can watch Its a Small World!

#3 La Catina de San Angel...tacos de carne, chips, and churros YUMMY and its so relaxing to eat by the water

Now on the downside I absolutely hated Restaurantosaurus while the hubby loved it (he had a burger I had the dig site salad ) and if I ever see another little chocolate cake it will be too soon! Come on Disney give me some fruit or something besides carrot and chocolate cake!!

So I was able to get all but two ressies made. I wasn't able to make our dinner reservation for 11/11 because they aren't taking Fantasmic reservations yet and I couldn't get Tusker House breakfast reserved for 11/16 but at least two other people over on the November trip planners board said they had the same issue. I even called and the CM said there are no reservations made on that day and she couldn't even get one made :confused3

But onto the good news:
11/10 wanted 7:00 Dinner at Whispering Canyon got...7:25 pretty good in my book

11/12 wanted 2:00 lunch at Rainforest at AK got...2:00 lunch SCORE! :yay:

11/13 wanted 7:00 dinner at Crystal Palace...got 5:40 dun dun dun but its ok :)

11/14 wanted 7:15 dinner at Ohana...got 6:50 I am ok with this because I figure we will still be there when Wishes starts

11/15 wanted 5:00 dinner at 50's PTC got...5:10 SCORE #2! :woohoo:

11/17 wanted 1:00 lunch at Sci-Fi got...12:55 SCORE #3! :dance3:

11/18 wanted breakfast at 1900 Park Fare wasn't too worried with time so 10:25 is perfect unless we change plans that day

So overall : 2 not reserved, 2 within 20 minutes, 4 exactly what I wanted and 1 not quite what I wanted. Overall I am very pleased with my first attempt at dining reservations other than Donald obviously is having issues with his breakfast Friday the 16th :worried:

So the bad news is we have been told the grandma of our little girl has decided to keep her :( Heartbreaking but we have faith God has bigger plans for us!

Enough gloom lets get onto some fun planning to fill my brain with happiness!!

So what brings more happiness at Disney than snacks?
My top five snacks are :
1. Dole whip float...Seriously these things are so stinking good :cloud9:
2. Any cupcake at Starring Rolls...I had the chocolate peanut butter last year and tapped out less than 1/3 of the way through! That thing had to weigh like 2 pounds. I'm thinking of trying Butterfinger this year? or Red Velvet? Ahhhh so many to choose!
3. Carrot Cake Cookie... Have not tried this one before but with everyone who has ever ate one raving they are heaven sent I think its time I do. Any we all know diser's are NEVER wrong in thier food reviews, Right?:thumbsup2
4. Mickey Pretzel...what does Disney put in thier food? Everything tastes better at Disney
5. Ice cream sandwich from Main Street...those things are HUGE didn't get one last year but I'm pretty sure that would be an acceptable breakfast one morning right?

The DH is simple in his tastes:
I want popcorn, pretzel, Casey's Nachos...He kills me! We are in the land of death by sweets and he isn't much of a sweet person. Oh well cause that skinny little thing can eat his weight in meat, meat and more meat! That is exactly why we are going to Ohana he will be so pleased!

Tommorrow I think I will discuss some of or favorite rides :cool1:

So I finally got the other two dining reservations I have been hoping for :)
We now have a 3:30 Hollywood & Vine Fantasmic Dining package on Sunday the 11th & a 8:05am Tusker House on Friday the 16th! Now if I make clear to November without canceling or changing we will have a miracle ;)

Now as promised I will list some of out favorite rides:
My absolute favorite is Haunted Mansion with Expedition Everest being a very close second.
The hubby says Space Mountain is his favorite but Rockin Roller Coaster and Expedition Everest are really really close!

Brian says we have to do Journey into Imagination with Figment this year cause I'm pretty sure that was the only one we didn't do last year.
Also this year we need to see some shows. Last year we saw ZERO shows and the electrical parade was the only parade....and I'm sad to admit we didn't see any fireworks until Wishes our last night :( Since we now have the Fantasmic dining package that will be checked off the list.

So here's a question of all the shows in all four parks what are the ones we really need to see?

I am making 3 different shirts for our trip and I got the first one completed today :yay:

I like them!

So since I'm pretty sure I'm the only one reading this I'm going to keep reporting to make the time pass quickly and so I can look back in 6 months and say I really am a goof :lmao:

This past weekend we had our first Disney Movie Day in celebration of 24 weeks until we are at our happy place! Doesn't 24 weeks sound so much happier than 160+ days? :goodvibes

Our first theme was...UP! Its the hubbys absolute favorite since we have this ball of adorableness:

Its a mini Alpha lol!

For our meal we had:

Squirrel! Burgers (hamburgers) Carls Canes, Wilderness Explorer Beans, Chocolate! brownies, Master will be pleased pickles, and of course Ellie grape soda. It was fun and most of all the hubby really enjoyed it!

So even though I am loyal to my dear sweet Disney I have to admit the Hubby and I are also deeply devoted coaster fanatics lol. Seriously I am at the present moment getting ready to head to an event at Holiday World that will involve 30+ hours spent riding wooden roller coasters in two days :scared1:!

I figured I would include all of my crazy amusement park adventures from this summer in my PTR, why? Well because it explains a little bit about the commando style we adopt at Dsiney :lmao:

Speaking of commando touring style I am seriously starting to question all my TS meals. If we get that coveted FD everyone but US seems to be getting then I will keep them. If we don't get free dining I am pretty sure I will only keep my Fantasmic dinner and Rainforest Cafe (I have a $50 gift card from MyPoints I need to use) and maybe 50's Prime Time Cafe since the hubby loves it.

I will be posting a mini trip report of Holiwood Nights sometime after I come home :thumbsup2

Just got a chance to read all of your post. It has been a crazy week here with family medical issues and I had forgotten have of what I had and hadn't read from lack of sleep!

I am so sorry to hear about the adoption falling through. It look my husband and I 5 years to have our princess. We were finally able to have a baby through AI. I wanted to send  your way and let you know that I will keep you in my thoughts. You were right, God works everything for a reason. ;)

I really need to recheck my ADR's! I keep seeing everyone posting about rethinking and changing theirs. I havent done that but once and that was with our F! package. We are going Nov. 9-15 and I had the same issues with booking at first.

Can't wait to keep up with how you are doing!
~Jenn

Just found your pretrip report. Love it. I really love the shirts and your movie night ideas. I have a trip planned for November as well and have been thinking of doing a pretrip report to help make the time go by faster. :goodvibes

I'm here too. So sorry the adoption didn't happen. Hopefully another little guy or gal is out there just waiting for a great home. OUr son is our little IVF miracle after 2 years of fertility treatments. Working on #2 the end of this year when we attempt IVF again. We've always been open to adoption too- i know the process for that is just as hard if not harder. Sending some pixie dust for you!

Loving your plans so far! So glad you finall got the other two ressies- i had heard people complaining about not getting tusker house too. weird! Love your t-shirts. super cute!
