This was in the email to me. See highlighted in red below

"To show our appreciation, we will be providing an onboard credit of up to $200 for each stateroom to use during this sailing. This credit will automatically appear on the stateroom account and can be used onboard towards the purchase of shipboard services, merchandise, food and beverages, or Port Adventures.

Additionally, each reservation will receive a 20% discount* on a future cruise reservation taken prior to September 9, 2025."

Yes, it’s 20% off a future cruise and up to 200 state room credit for to use on this cruise

Has anyone heard anything about the Fantasy having engine trouble on the current cruise and it skipped Castaway? i read this somewhere else and trying to find out if it is true or just a rumor.

Someone in our Facebook group said that they have friends on that cruise and heard the same thing. I certainly hope they're able to repair whatever went wrong quickly!

What is the ship doing if it’s skipping CC? Is it going to Nassau, sitting somewhat idle in the ocean, coming back the PC early?

Heading straight back to PC, it’s gonna take them longer to get back since they don’t have full power. If they went Castaway today they wouldn’t make it back in time for tomorrows cruise

If you look at their location, all ashore was supposed to be 10am - it's almost 8 and they're no where near the island

It may vary by what type of stateroom you booked. That's how it was on Royal when we rerouted. Verandahs got more OBC than inside rooms. The "up to 200" kind of implies that.

A few in our cruise group called and were told everyone $200 , so who knows. You just don't get anything refunded back if you don't use it all.

It’s $200 credit per stateroom for this sailing. And then 20% off a future cruise.

It’s likely like the olden days. The onboard credit was dependent on how many days you sailed. Shorter sailing was lesser amount.

We were on the fantasy December 2017 can’t remember exact dates, it was suppose to be an eastern then turned into a western. Forgot what hurricane hit st. Thomas, but we didn’t get any compensation. Is this something new to receive obc and a % off another cruise??

I think it’s because Bermuda is a special itinerary that they don’t offer regularly. Lots of people booked only because it was going there.

09/08/2023

We are writing to provide additional information regarding your September 9, 2023, sailing aboard the Disney Fantasy.

Earlier this week, we communicated a necessary modification to your original itinerary as a result of potential impacts from Hurricane Lee. Yesterday evening, the Disney Fantasy experienced a technical issue with the propulsion system that is causing the ship to sail at a reduced rate of speed. There is no impact on the maneuverability of the ship, or on the safety of our Guests and Crew.

Until the ship arrives to Port Canaveral and repairs can be completed, we are uncertain if there will be additional impacts to your itinerary. We will provide you an update as soon as we can, but that may not be until after you board the ship tomorrow.

Should you have questions or wish to cancel your sailing before boarding for a full refund, please contact your travel agent.

The Cast and Crew onboard the Disney Fantasy look forward to welcoming you onboard and are dedicated to ensuring that you and your family have an enjoyable vacation.
