Kicking myself because today's the day Eiffel Tower tickets went on sale for our October trip, and I forgot until just now and they are all gone. I knew they went fast, but I didn't think it would be like booking Cinderella's Table or FPs at WDW. We're only in Paris two nights, and our full day will be at DLP. I was hoping to do the Eiffel Tower the day we arrive, but now it looks like it will have to be the day we leave. Tickets go on sale Wed at 8:30 am, which is 2:30am my time, so I guess I'll get up in the middle of the night to get them. Anyone have any other ideas? Seems like they must all get booked up by 3rd parties, and they charge a fortune for the same tickets.

That's what we had to do. It took me two nights of getting up at 2:30 a.m. to get tickets. The first time I went for the 10 a.m. time slot and it sold out before I could check out and when I went back, everything else was gone except a few tickets for the first time slot, but it wasn't enough for our party of seven. The next morning I went for the first time offered and got them. It ended up being the BEST time to go because we were the first up--literally. The lines grow and grow as the day goes on and if we had gotten the 10 a.m. like I originally wanted, it would have taken that much longer to actually get up and it would have been much more crowded. So my advice is to go for the earliest time offered! You won't regret it. Good luck :)

I was in your predicament as well, except I forgot until a week after. The only tickets I could get were for 10pm, and I didn't want those. I kept checking back and had no luck. So I knew my two options were: standing in line the day we wanted to go or go for one of the tours. I knew that the tour was overpriced but it was at the 10am time we wanted. The tour also came with a Seine Cruise that we could use any time we wanted (even 6 months later if we wanted). In the end we enjoyed the tour and got a lot of information that we wouldn't have gotten on our own and we didn't spend a ton of time waiting in line either. Like I said though, I knew I was paying more the experience than if I had been more together and got my tickets myself. But it worked out well for us. If you can't get tickets it might be something worth considering. If you want to know which tour company I used pm me and let me know.

You can buy tickets on the day at the ET directely - I've never ever bought tickets in advance and I've been up it 20+ times.

They put a certain amount on sale every day as you've seen, keep checking back as people report over on TA that new slots become available, and then sell the rest at the tower.

You can also do the stairs, sounds more tiring than it is I can assure you.

If you are going in October you aren't going to have the same queues as in July and August anyway :)

We have never had a problem getting tickets but we also like to take the stairs. It is nice way to see the tower and there are surprises along the way. You can look for a design on the riser of the stairs.

We bought tickets on the day. Some of us took the lift which is what we really had to queue for, and the children that took the stairs were up top long before us! We all took the stairs down which was really nice as SWofDisorder suggested. Love the ET....the view from the top at night is magical :cloud9:

We are going to Paris at the end of December. Where do you order tickets and how far out do you order them? Also, those that have taken tours, which touring group did you use?

Ok, now I'm just ticked off. It's 2:36am, I was on the site at 2:30am, and by the time I clicked on the time (which it showed was available) and got to my cart, the tickets were gone. There have to be computers out there snatching these up for 3rd party companies. I've never had an issue like this with Disney.

Thanks for the input. Looks like we'll be standing in line or taking the stairs. Glad to hear others have not had issues getting them the day of. I just keep reading about people waiting in line for hours. We're only in Paris two nights, and I don't want to spend our time waiting in line.

DisneyMinnie, I'd say you can get them at the site that comes up if you google "Eiffel Tower Tickets," and tickets for Oct 13 became available at 8:30am Paris time today, so however many days that is (if you put in the date, number of tickets, then click on a time, it will tell you when they'll go on sale), but obviously I didn't have any luck with that method.

We did a skip the line tour with Fat Tire Bike Tours (no bikes involved). It costs more but the tour as really interesting and I would highly recommend them.

We visited the Eiffel Tower on the 13th of July. We had to stand in line for about 45 mins to get a summit ticket. The line was about 45 minutes long to walk up as well. There were two lines to buy elevator tickets. Pick the shortest.

We ended up spending about two and a half hours there not including the 45 minute initial wait.

It was great!
