Since Ei$ners leaving and Igers arrival were recentley news events, I'm posting this on the Rumors and News board. If a moderator feels differently, please move it to a more approprite place.
Since Ei$ner left so quickly and "peacefully" and Iger is now in charge, do you think that the reason he left so quickly was that he was confident that Bob Iger will carry the "carry on as usual" torch that was passed to him, ie: cuts, cutbacks, 3 chicken fingers instead of 4, etc. etc.?

They also could have asked Eisner to step down from the position. Tell him to step down or be fired. He can choose.

maybe it had something to do with the Apple deal...
he left disney very close to the announcement of that deal....and Iger made the presentation at the announcement.....and made a great joke about Pixar, which i think was an Eisner fiasco.....so maybe it was all inter-related....or maybe not....

That is exactly what was done. He was forced to step down.
