Effect of weather on FPs and/or wait times

We have been to WDW many times and are leaving again on Sunday for a Mardi Gras trip to PO-Riverside. It will just be myself and my wife. We just did a "Theme Park Commando" with 8 days in December with a party of 7 people, so we are looking to be much more relaxed than we usually are. We have OK fast passes (got Smuggler's Run) and are big Star Wars fans. During our week it is supposed to be really nice on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, but rain on Wednesday (our DHS day) and cool off considerably for Thursday and be very windy(our AK day).

How much do you think that rain on Wednesday will affect the wait times and/or 4th FP opportunities at both the Studios on Wednesday (TouringPlans rates it a 5) and on Thursday (TouringPlans rates it a 9). We will be at each park for rope drop and will be trying to get a ROTR boarding group on Wednesday and seeing the Safaris first thing on Thursday. We did ROTR twice in December when the only way to get a boarding group was to be there early and in the park 9would not like to go through that again, although the ride was exceptional). Any help would be appreciated.

We were there the coldest week in January, it was in the 40s and rained and/or misted 3 of the days. HS was very crowded and the weather didn't seem to make a difference. The day of the hardest rain we were in Epcot, we actually left, which we never do but I didn't have an umbrella or a poncho just a regular jacket. There were a lot of people leaving through IG when we did but normally, I don't notice the parks getting any less crowded during rain.

With the popularity of ROTR and the way boarding groups are working (have to be there at open but might not be riding until the evening), I think HS will be crowded regardless of weather. People want their chance to try the new ride and they're going to suck it up and deal with the rain. When we went on a rainy day, the waits to meet launch Bay characters were very high presumably because people went there to wait out the storm and figured they'd see Chewy while they were there.

For AK, I think you've got a better chance of the crappy weather helping your cause. If nothing else, the animals are going to be more active because of the cooler temps.
