Effect of Everest on K. Safari Lines

Okay. Obsessive overplanner question. We're not doing EE. We are starting with KS. Last time, the kids got majorly distracted by the characters at the "awakening". It's vacation, not boot camp, so we stopped. But I was obsessing the whole time about the line growing at KS. We didn't end up waiting too long, but we did wait. Soooo....

Have the lines gone down at KS first thing thanks to EE? Can I slow up and enjoy the scenery some, or should I still be racing to Africa?
