ef lenses

does any one know when they started making these? not sure what the difference is but my lenses look like the picture of the rebel xt ( the connection part) but they do not say ef anywhere on them...they are 55mm so maybe the rebel now is different sized? these are probably 4 yrs old or so

I do not remember the exact year, but my guess is that they started EF lenses during the late 80s.

If it is an AUTO focus lens for a Canon camera, something tells me it is an EF lens.

They started the EF lens aroun 1990. If your lens was bought in less than 10 years ago, you're 100% safe.
