Eep! It is 45 days cancellation for online!

I just called WDW to cancel a reservation that I made online- for some reason I was thinking that the 45 day cancellation policy was only if you booked a package, but it does apply to room only reservations, too!

I was lucky enough that they were able to transfer my deposit to my other reservation-not sure what would have happened otherwise!

Just wanted to pass along the heads up for anyone else here who makes reservations online!

In our experience with room only reservations, there is a one nights stay deposit required within 14 days of making the reservation, which is fully refunded up until 5 days prior to check in.
I don't think this has changed as I have a room only for April and this is the policy written on the paperwork. I think possibly the CM you spoke to was mistaken Certainly wouldn't be the first time

There are "room only packages". Folks need to carefully read the terms and conditions for what they book, whenever they book (and that goes for any resort, not just WDW) since each offer is unique.
