Eek! Spring or fall dapper days

has thought about going Nov 2019 as this years anniversary present to dh. He loves nerdy stuff and I think he’d like to see Star Wars.

Then I was thinking why not April 2019 dapper days?!

Any major conflicts on the dates? We’d fly Thursday 4/11 at midnight. Arrive exhausted and hit the Disneyland hotel all day Friday.

2 park days. 4/13&14 Sat/sun Cut short by leaving for lax at 8 pm.

Thoughts?

Are you asking for crowd reasons? It will likely be quite crowded with spring breaks still, I'd imagine. But, really, it's pretty much always crowded these days. If you go in with a plan, good attitude, assume Maxpass, you'll be fine!

Personally if I was picking between them I’d do Fall because SWL for SO & Dapper Day brings huge crowds on its own, adding Spring Break to that? No thanks.

I would also highly reconsider taking Fri off from the parks. Sun is going to be VERY busy and hard to get a lot of rides in. I did Fall Dapper Days 2 years ago and we got plenty done on Fri & Sat (crowded but manageable, if you want dining res get them ahead of time) & EMH Sun was fine but after EMH the crowds went to OMG PACKED!! levels. We only got a couple rides in the rest of the morning & we enjoyed lunch by eating at Cafe Orleans and people watching- the people watching is so much fun on Dapper Days! We left after that due to crowds & returned at night but it was still packed.

Next year it’s the week before.

Peak Spring Break tends to be the two weeks before and two weeks after Easter. So Fall DD sounds like a better idea.

We don’t usually take red eyes but we’re leaving our kids home so we have very limited time. This is the only non-stop flight available.

By the time we go I’m sure the flight will have changed a little. But I just looked and it actually arrives in LAX at 6 am. We might get there in time for early morning hour. That alone would be worth it with SWGE. We could try to go a 3rd day and take our time at the hotel a little each day.
