Eeeek Another Dining Plan Question!!!

Hi! i was curious if anyone knows if on the Deluxe dining plan can you replace your dessert at dinner with a 6 inch special occasion cake. We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary and I wanted to skip dessert one night and have a special cake, but that is a lot of dessert so I was wondering if anyone knows if we can decline on the regular dessert in favor of the special occasion cake???

It is extremely doubtful that you will be permitted to substitute any off-menu item for the included dessert.

You could always order the cake and forego the dessert. But you'd be paying for the cake, and giving up the dessert that was included with the plan.

We were on the regular ddp last Feb, and DH had ordered one of those cakes for our anniversary. The server brought the cake out, and before we left asked if we wanted the dessert we were entitled to on the ddp....no way!

But no, you have to pay for the cake, you can't use ddp credits, and I'm sure the deluxe plan is no different.

Me either!!!

That said, there was NO WAY I was taking a dessert from the Coral Reef that night, no matter how much I love chocolate!! I was so stuffed, I could hardly move. The appetizer was amazing but probably could have been a meal in itself for me, then I ordered the prime rib and ended up with what looked like half a cow, I kid you not! DH said it was at least 96 oz, I only knew I didn't finish half of it, and then we had the anniversary cake! That cake is bigger than you might think, we ate it for breakfast and a midnight snack for the next two days and threw a little of it out before we left! It was really goo though!!
