A couple quick questions for you guys.

One, what is EE like? Can an almost 4 year old ride or would it be too much? Does it go backwards??

Second, what are the lines to it like? Long, hot, crowded? We will be there, hubby, myself, 3 year old ds and then int he stroller our 6 week old then. So we are wondering about how we would work that out. We would both like to ride it too so if one of us got a fast pass and we both came back to the FP line, could I get on after him? Not sure exactly how that works. We only used the parent swap thing on one ride last year and that was soarin.

Thanks for any help.

I found EE to be a wonderful ride but pretty intense in some parts and yes it does go backwards. Also, there are parts where you think the track is ending as well as the giant Yeti. My 8yo dd rode it and was very scared the first time, she did end up riding it again and enjoying it but she almost didn't re-ride.

The height restriction is 44", even if your 4yo is tall enough I suggest one of the parents ride first to see if you think its appropriate for your child.

We arrived at AK at opening and the line was long quick! Wee rode standby and then got a FP. The standby line was along the sidewalk and got to 25-35 minutes just after opening. The waits can get very long later in the day and they were running out of FP's by noonish the first weekend of April. I highly recommend getting FP's for this attraction.

Rider swap is a great option for your family and it is available for EE since you have child who dosen't meet the height restriction. You do all have to be present so even if the line starts on the sidewalk keep your party together until the indoor entrance if you want the babyswap pass.

I rode it last week with a 5.5 year old. She loved it but she is a daredevil when it comes to fast rides. She was petrified by Tough to be a Bug and Honey I Shrunk the Audience but laughed and grinned all the way through EE.

We stood in the standby line (which said 30 minutes but was only 20) and were glad we did. The theming was fun and interesting. We were in the sun some but inside the building pretty quickly. The ride itself is pretty intense. Don't want to give anything away but the pause at the top is great; it's just long enough for you to admire the view and then think "OH NO" about what might be coming next.

You could always have one of you go through the single rider line to see what it's like and then decide if you want to take the little one or hand him off in the child swap. It might also be faster for you both to ride the single rider line if you decide not to take him.
