can somebody please tell me how bad the drop is on EE? and does it take place in the dark while going backwards?
We have ridden RnRc but for some reason this ride (EE) scares me....any feedback would be great.
thank you

Which drop? There is more than one. The most intense one is backwards, in the dark and is a helix. You will feel like you are being pushed down into your seat.

Totally AWESOME!! The biggest one is backwards in a helix (a sort of spiral, you don't go upside down) gives you a feeling of gravitational pull. The effects are different if you are in the front or back. My all time favorite ride!! Even if you chicken out, go through the line, a very cool queue!

so it's not a direct drop but more of a curving drop?

Correct. The big drop is going forward. It's pretty intense, but not compared to the drops on the big coasters at other parks. I agree that the backwards helix is the most intense part of the ride. Like grit-your-teeth intense. But great, if you like that kind of stuff :)

REALLY fun ride. Give it a shot!

The coasters don't bother me - they used to. I think the drop looks more intimidating than it really is.

The backwards drop is definitely more intense - you can really feel the g-force. Keep your head back!

The drop that you see (at the front of the mountain) looks steeper than it really is. Yes, it's an adrenaline rush when you see the drop coming, but it's over before you know it. You drop and then it king of turns midway down the mountain.

It's not bad. Seriously. It's the most extreme coaster in Disney World, but it doesn't come close to anything big in those.... other Orlando parks.

That backwards "drop" is what keeps me coming back! I love that it has the "take your stomach away" feeling! We ride it multiple times when we go!!!! The drop at the end is not very bad in my opinion.

I absolutely DETEST direct forward drops. Splash Mountain is a horror story for me. I didn't mind EE at all. It was intense, but didn't bother me at all like Splash does.

We sat in the back on our first time on EE and the backwards drop made DH feel very nauseous. We sat toward the front the next time and it didn't seem to bother him at all. The forward drops were fine for both of us.

I don't like drops, and it doesn't bother me. You don't get that TOT or SplashM falling/pit feeling.

I don't really consider EE to have a real drop. It doesn't seem to have anything like Splash...more of a steep descent.

I got a headache after riding last time...I wonder if it's because I didn't keep my head back on the backwards part. Instead, I was straining forward. Hmmm, something to consider...

EE is awesome! No part of the ride feels uncomfortable or scary to me, so I would say the drops aren't bad. I do have ride photos that show me screaming during the drop, but it was all in fun! lol There's no reason to fear EE. It's my favorite ride at Disney! I rode 11 times during my last trip! :D

Did RnRc also scare you at one time?

Sometimes we can address our fears, and sometimes not.

I address my fear of heights on some roller coasters. No coaster at Disney frightens me.

Six Flags is another Thread.

RnRc did not really scare me. I was too busy laughing at my 15 year old grandson screaming like a girl....LOL....I am going to give it a shot when we go in April....lots of time to build up my courage :)

Is this ride OK for a 6 and 8 year old???? Does the seat belt or lap belt seem secure for skinny kid legs, lol. They meet the height requirement.

My DS rode it at 6, 8, & 9, and he's really skinny. He didn't have any problems.
