EE for 4 year old??

I would have no issues letting my four year old ride EE. Space Mnt, not so much because you actually sit "alone", but if my daughter wanted to do EE, I would absolutely let her.

Thanks all. We watched it again and I pointed out the darkness and going backwards and he wasn't the slightest bit fazed. I guess I'm taking my Dramamine and we're riding Everest in April!

You might not want to hear this and you might not be able to think about it but if you decide on this plan (you still have four months to rethink it so who knows :)), I would advise on not talking about the "dangers" of the ride to your son and try not to vocalize your fears about him on it to him. Yes, talk about your feelings but to your husband, not your son. Also, if you do board the ride with the two of them, let them sit together and you be in front of them. You will probably be paired with a single rider and use the time to relax yourself and make small talk with that person. Your husband and son will still be there but you won't be that distracted with worry.

My youngest rode it last year as a 4 year old, and he ended up riding it 3 times. He still talks about the yeti ride that he liked so much. However, he also rode thunder mountain and didn't like it at all. That one was just too rough for him, but he wasn't scared by the yeti. I could see how it could go either way with kids this age, but I would certainly let him ride if he wanted to.

My nephew rode it at 4 and went on RnRC 3 times at 5. He should be fine, especially since he's been watching the videos and knows what to expect.

My DDs are now 12 & 9. However, both of them went on whatever rides they were tall enough for, as soon as they could. Older one was 6 when EE was opened and loved it. Younger one was 4 when she was 44" and went on. It is still her absolute favorite ride in all the parks. Take him on it...he'll love it.
