We're looking at doing a 1/2 day at AK arriving around noon. I'm really concerned about us getting on EE.

Our family loves AK and we've done it a lot so our priority is EE which we haven't yet experienced. that said, I don't want to spend 2hrs waiting in line for it! I'd like to grab a FP when we arrive, maybe a bite to eat...and do whatever else we need to to pass the time til we can hit our return window. I'm just concerned the FP may all be used up by noon or 1pm. Can anyone comment on this?

Also, I confess, it's been awhile since I've been in AK in the afternoon. Will we be able to enjoy the walking trails or will all the animals be asleep? Do we have a chance of getting into a FOTLK show w/out having to arrive 60mins early? We usually do the 1st show of the day and arrive 20mins early. i know dd would also like to do the little triceratops ride in dino land (not the coasters) but as I recall that has long lines all day. Maybe during or after the parade? I figure we'll save the safari ride for the end of the day.

We'll be here the 1st week of Oct, on a Tuesday. Any suggestions you can give on touring this park in the afternoon I'd really appreciate! Thank you!

We just got back, we were at AK on 8/14 & 8/15 (half days). The first day, we tried too late to get FPs for EE. Get them by 10 or 11am, and you should have a return time of 11:30-1:30, with a FP wait time of maybe 10 min. At least this is what we found. Standby line at 10am was 90min. Great ride, goes by too quick!

Three years ago in late August we went to AK in the afternoon, walked onto the safari at around 2:30 PM and saw lots of animals even though they were "supposed" to be asleep. Same was true with the Maharajah Jungle Trek...did in the afternoon and saw lots of animals. Just bring water (for you!) because it is hot!!

Sorry I can't help with your other questions, but I'm very interested in the answers, particulary with regard to EE!

The fast passes for EE were gone by 1pm last week when I was there.

Thanks. I'm hoping we can arrive by noon and grab that FP first! I wish we could have a morning or better yet full day at AK, but it just isn't looking likely this trip.

Any other tips on touring AK for an afternoon only would be GREATLY appreciated. :goodvibes I'm hoping w/ the lure of EE we'll be able to do the Safari too....the walking trails, and maybe dinosaur or Tree of Life. Just don't know if it's feesible to do all of them in an afternoon, the way you can in a morning. We'll be going in early Oct. so hopefully the parks will be a little less crowded by then.
