EE Epcot day, How early can we leave using WDW transportation headed to MK?

We plan to go to Epcot on an EE day and just do Mission Space and Test Track. That's all we're doing there. After that, I want to go to MK to be there as close to opening as possible to do non-headliners. We're going to do those on an e night. My question is when we get done at Epcot (8:30 or 9:00 I am speculating) will transportation already be running to leave Epcot headed to MK? Plus, I can't remember, would we go to MK by bus or monorail? Thanks for any and all help!

You would take the monorail from Epcot to the TTC and then transfer to the MK monorail.
It certainly will be running at that time.

The monorail is the most reliable choice but IF you happen to hit the TTC at the same time the riverboat is leaving to take folks back into MK, that's another option. We did that last trip and enjoyed the different perspectives offered by the ride across the lagoon.
