EE days good or evil?

How crazy are early entry days. I wanted to go to MGM on a tuesday but then I realized it was on that EE day. We are not eary risers so we will arive aroun 9:30ish. We will be there the first week of Feb. Should we avoid the EE days?

If you are not going to arrive early don't go. Pick another park for that day.

By 10 or so the parks with EE are packed.

Great advice Michele. EE days are only worth it if you are there at opening.

I also wouldn't go unless I was going to be there when the park opens. However, in the slow season it won't be too bad at 9:30am, at least it wasn't when I was there recently and especially in late September (after Hurricane Jeanne).

If you aren't an early morning type, avoid going to a park with Extra Magic Hours on those days that it is offered. Our rule of thumb, if we aren't taking advantage of the Extra Magic Hour, is do that park the day after it is offered, so according to the current schedule, do Disney MGM Studios on Wednesday, Epcot on Thursday, Magic Kingdom on Friday and Animal Kingdom on Saturday.

Eeyore0062's advice works, of course, only until the new EMH schedule beings on Jan. 2/05. The Unofficial Guide website has a lovely list of 21 "rules" to follow when picking a park for any particular day.
