I've read that there is an "opening show" song and dance thing at Magic Kingdom when it first opens in the morning.
I was wondering, how does Early Entry affect this?
Do they do the show at the Early Entry opening time, or is it done at the regular opening time?

Thanks for your help!

The show is not done at EE, or at least it wasnt when we were there last week, and over the summer. I believe they dont do it at all on those days, but I could be wrong. We did however see it on the non EE days starting about 15 minutes prior to park opening.

You are correct CamColt the MK opening show is not done at all on EE mornings.

I just love the opening show it is the perfect start to a magical day!!

Are you talking about the Main St. Dancers? Because they do it at other times other than opening. We have been there around 11 when they do it.

A stop at City Hall can tell you when your performance is scheduled.

Safetymom, I think Wick was asking about the opening ceremony on the train platform. It starts about 15 minutes before park opening with the Mayor giving a little speech, then the dancers do a little routine while waiting for the train to come with the characters and the family of the day on it. They then do a countdown and the family throws out some pixie dust before the guests are let all the way in the park, up to the ropes at the lands(they let us through the turnstiles before the ceremony begins). By then there is only a few minutes before the ropes drop at official opening time.

I think you are thinking of the "Trolley Show" which is done 3-4 times a day on Main Street, with the dancers and the Horse drawn trolley (or the Omni Bus depending on the day). That is done everyday (most everyday...it is not preformed on really busy days or when the trolley (or omni bus) is not avalaible. That is a cute little show which, if you get the chance you should see...

But as CamColt stated it is not the same as the "Opening show" where the dancers are on the front of the Train station and the Steam Train brings all the characters to Main Street to open the park with a countdown and Pixie Dust, which is what I think the original post was asking about.
